GE Profile PEB7226DFWW & White Deluxe Trim Kit

I purchased the GE Profile Series - PEB7226DFWW White Microwave along with the Deluxe 30 in. Built-In Microwave Trim Kit White Model # JX7230DFWW. They were installed yesterday and I was disappointed that the white colors do not match. Since they are both made by GE I would think that they would be the same white.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The large capacity of this microwave is great for casseroles, but it's too large for what I use my microwave for (warming up food & popcorn). I don't really like the functionality of the control panel either. It doesn't have presets I would use, such as soup or plates of food. I also don't like that if you open the door before it's finished the beeping sound is loud & annoying & is only cancelled if you hit the cancel button. You must hit the cancel button before opening the door to prevent the lout buzzing noise. I would only recommend this product if you're looking for a large capacity microwave.

Great microwave, poor built in trim design

I am very impressed with the microwave. Much better than my last Dacor microwave. However, I needed it built in to my cabinetry and had to purchase the trim kit. I do not recommend the trim kit as it required me to screw lots of screws into the cabinetry as well as into the microwave itself. So if there was any problem with the microwave I would have to disassemble the entire thing to pull the microwave out, unlike my previous Dacor trim kit that allowed the microwave to simply slide in, look great and no be so complicated. So buy the microwave as a stand alone or just hope if it's built in that you never have problems or it could be a nightmare.

Replaced a 10 year old GE Profile microwave with a new GE micro and we were able to use the old trim, so that it still matched our oven. We were so pleased that it took us 40 minutes to take out the old micro and put in the new. Very slick installation.

Just replaced my old GE microwave with this new one. Love it just as much and it has a soft close which I like.
