OK Microwave

I was forced to replace my previous built-in GE microwave, because in general, the GE appliances installed in my new home when I purchased it have been very poor in quality. My wall oven quit working almost immediately, and the replacement has never been able to hold the temperature setting. This microwave is fine, but I resent that GE is making small tweaks to the design constantly so that these built-ins can't be easily replaced without buying some additional mounting kit. I would change brands but I'm trying to keep the appearance of my appliances consistent to retain resale value of my home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We re-built our house, after the Black Forest Fire. So installed all slate appliances. Used Microwave for about a month and a half and it stopped working at this time we are waiting for three parts to come in to fix it. So we are hoping after it is fixed we wont have any more issues. Loved the performance before it stopped.

Nice Microwave, But a Few Gripes

It works well and has lots of flexible modes. However, we didn't like that it beeps every few seconds, forever, to remind that food is ready and the only way to turn of reminder was to mute all sounds -- including tones when entering on touchscreen and the initial beep that food's ready. Also, if put food in and wait a minute before entering cook time, it forgets that already put in food and must open and close door to start cooking.
Solidly made and attractive.

OK MICROWAVE

The circuit board had an intermittent problem from the time we bought it and then stopped working altogether four months later. The unit is big and heavy. If I had it to do over, I would have bought a much less expensive, smaller, light weight unit given how our microwave is used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Turn Table.

I love my new microwave, except for the turn table. Wish it would be offered without...the reason is that I use my microwave for everything, from heating up to baking cakes and cookies to casseroles. I often prefer to use a 9x13 pan which will not turn in the new microware. I understand that the over-the-stove models can be purchased without a turn table, but I want a free-standing one. I have no problem in rotating my dishes when the need requires.

Nice microwave in a great color/finish

My contractor built-in this microwave under my kitchen counter, where I can access it much better than I could one that was over the stove. The new slate finish is really nice and so much easier to keep clean than my old stainless microwave oven was. I really have no complaints about this product; it does what it is supposed to do, with simple controls that have a lot of options for power level, timing, cooking specific foods, etc. I recommend it.
