I replaced a 15 year old GE built-in counter top microwave with this unit. Why mess with sucess. I simply wanted to upgrade my old appliences. This is a really great microwave. It has similar features and perfect size interior. After trying it, I was impressed.

Unfortunately I had to buy this product again because it's only one of a few that fit into the wall space I have. The first one I purchased lasted a whole 2 years.. Ridiculous!!!

Microwave stopped working 3 days after installation. The magnetron had shorted out.

I am disappointed that this microwave came directly from the GE store and the date inside the microwave is March 2015 and I just received it 3-30-16.

It Fits

I bought this to replace an original microwave model JE2160SF03. We were advised we would have to also buy the new associated trim kit. However we have discovered the old trim kit works just fine on the new replacement model although the stainless steel trim is just a bit different. Nice. And a great microwave

Not as good as my old one, very expensive

The newer models have more plastic and less metal. The door does not hang straight, about 1/8" off square. The unit is set into the wall with a framed trim kit around it which leaves a gap on each side of the microwave for venting, rather than the built in vents like the former trim kits. The trim kit is also plastic.
The timer on the microwave is also operated differently than the timer on the built in wall oven - why not make both the same?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
