Bought the slate to match my GE Fridge. Love them both. No fingerprints. Very stylish in my Tuscan style kitchen.

Bought this microwave for new home, available in Slate finish we wanted. My only complaint is adjusting to the small print on the buttons and which button is Timer versus Time Cook

Another noisy GE product. Hard to read buttons, needs a back light on the button panel.

Great color, door button feels like cheap plastic

I loved the alternative to stainless and was replacing another built in microwave with trim kit that had lasted about 10 years. You'd think they'd fit in the same hole. Nope. Installers had to cut cabinets and raise cabinet doors so now I have raw wood exposed and holes. The slight bow in the top of the oven (they did the same thing with the oven) was a REAL problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great match to the slate line

I bought this to match the rest of my GE slate appliances. When we remodeled our kitchen we created a custom space for the microwave to be recessed within the island (the space was intended for a drawer microwave). Because drawer units are currently a bit cost prohibitive and because GE doesn't currently make one in the slate finish decided to go with this one for now. It looks great and nukes things quickly. It works well for my busy kitchen

I've found the GE Profile Series to perform well. The features are easily understandable. The slate color is warm and attractive and blends nicely with my oak counter tops and cabinets. So far I am very satisfied with its performance. Will consider purchasing additional GE appliances in the future.
