I bought this to replace an earlier GE profile microwave. It is the same size, so fits in my kitchen. Sadly, the previous trim kit fails to fit by 1/16 of an inch in height, so I'm having to invest in a new one. The last microwave lasted 10 years.

This Microwave is part of the GE appliance package upgrade I bought for our new house. The microwave works well. I have tried the defrost and that works well. The popcorn button does not stay on long enough and I had to add time. The open/close button sometimes gets stuck, but I just have to make sure to completely shut the door. I like it that the interior is square instead of rectangular. It makes sense, so a lot of items fit in it. So overall, its nice and I'm glad I have it.

I love the microwave. The only negative thing about it is that the lettering on the key pad is very small and a little difficult to read.

Nice features, cheap feel

I purchased this as a replacement to an existing GE microwave that had stopped working after 8 years. Although the features are almost the same, the quality of the microwave is no where as good as the one I replaced. You have to make sure you push the door exactly in the middle or it will not close due to the structural integrity of the door. They don't make them like they use too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We had one just like this model, but my wife thought she set the timer, but actually programmed the oven and didn't realize she broke it, until she heard a noise. She loved it so much, she wanted the same microwave oven.
