Overall this a very nice microwave. The only thing that I can suggest is being able to turn on/off the preset express cooking feature so that the one touch start could be disabled or bypassed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Reliable so far, sturdily built, simple to use

I bought this to use a rebate and to fit in a large empty cabinet space that used to contain an Advantium. I could not justify the cost of replacing the Advantium that wore out after 15 years. Also, we were primarily using the Advantium as a M/W.
You can find a lot less expensive M/Ws (so 3 stars for value), but I needed the size, make, and model.
But it is sturdy, roomy, and reliable so far. It has simple to use controls and is easy to clean.

We bought our first one over 13 years ago. We also got the built in frame that is sold separately. After 13 years our old microwave died. It was very sad. But it was good to know that there was a replacement that would fit into the cabinet . Unfortunately the built in frame, did not fit from the previous microwave. So we had to buy a new one. That was the only thing that was disappointing. This microwave runs great! I'm very happy with it

Hope this one last longer than 18 months

We just bought our 2nd GE Microwave and hope that it lasts longer than the first one that stopped working after less than 18 months. We didn't want to have to buy a new trim kit and mess with changes to our new cabinet construction so we bought the same product. The first microwave made a loud popping noise and stopped heating food after 18 months of minimal use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE makes a great microwave oven. My last one was 17 years old, only changed it because we remodeled our kitchen.
