Replaced previous 13 yrs old unit

We bought this unit to replace the 13 yrs old unit that came with the house when we purchased 2 yrs ago. The fact that it was working until it finally gave up after 13 yrs should speak for itself. So we bought the same exact model and it fits right into the old spot. Same reliable features saving us time to learning new program. Outside spots are easy to clean as well as inside.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So Far, So Good

I'll admit, some of the reviews here made me nervous. But, we've had a GE refrigerator and other small appliances which all worked well, so we decided to go with it. We were in the midst of a kitchen/family room renovation and wanted to get away from using an on-counter microwave WITHOUT the cost of the built-in microwaves. Those built-in models are horrifically expensive and if there is trouble, cabinets must be taken apart to replace or repair them. So, this GE was the solution. We've used it for a few months - in reality, largely to reheat food and to cook microwave food (remember a kitchen remodel - no cooktop installed yet awaiting granite installation). Nothing fancy. Looking forward to using the probe for more sophisticated cooking soon! Looks good with our single-double oven installed just below the microwave (also GE - see that review PT925SNSS).

It was broken after 1 year and builder covered the repair cost in first 2 years, then it break again with same issue at 2.5 years old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this microwave, looks and features. Only gave 4 stars because after a few months had to have it replaced as the outside top and sides were getting hot when using. Not normal for a microwave. Hopefully the replacement will be okay.

Perfect for what we need

We just replaced our old microwave with the exact same one.....only newer! The last one was 10 + years old, so if this one lasts that long it will be a true blessing. Our home is GE appliances!

Looks great, works well

Installed a week ago and it works well. I like the controls, especially the "Add 30 Seconds"feature. But the microwave is loud -- louder than any I've ever owned. I'm a bit worried there may be something wrong with it.
