Good product. Had issues in the beginning with the control panel shorting out but the company who installed it replaced the panel. Every now and then it will give us an error.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this as a replacement for a previous model that died within 3 years of purchase. Mainly got it again just because we could reuse the same wall trim kit. Works as well as the previous one, which we were pretty happy with until it died. Hope this one lasts longer.
One small complaint with the new model: Sometimes the door won't properly shut, and the light won't go off or allow the microwave to be used. Slightly annoying, but otherwise works well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Burning wires?

We bought this microwave for a remodel project and also got the trim kit JX7230SFSS as well. After 2 months of use, it started smelling like burning wires when it's running. Has anyone else had this issue? I hope it's covered under warranty since we bought it 6 months ago but didn't use it until 4 months later.

First one only lasted a little over a year (it was included in a new house purchase), I have purchased another one to replace it, we will see how long it lasts this time.

Good except for door latch

Push area to open door seems weak. If you push the door at the bottom to close it won't close properly. If to you push at the right corner of door it closes properly. This should happen with an expensive microwave.

My original died in 2 years conveniently after the warranty period. Called GE service man and he advised to get a new one as the repairs are more expensive. Classic USA. Installation was easy. Fitted well with my existing trim.

I bought a replacement because the first one died after only 2 years. I bought the same model because the cost of the trim kit for a different manufacturer was too high. I bought the extended warranty which I normally do not do as I expect this one to also die prematurely.

This microwave is easy to use and looks good. Big enough space inside to cook meals. Touch screen has some nice features with preset times for quick warm up of snacks.
