Attractive as a "built-In" with oven

Purchased this model originally about 2 years ago. It stopped working after 2 weeks and had to be repaired (replaced "mag tube"). Two years later "mag tube" stopped heating food again and possible problem with control panel. Purchased same model new at this time since it needed to fit with existing trim kit and opening. I am confident it will give us longer service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The first microwave was loud, so GE checked and replaced it promptly. The new one is nice.

Needs improvement

The door on this unit does not close well. I just replaced an 8 year old Profile microwave and compared to that one, this one is not built nearly as well. Of course I had to spend an additional money for another trim kit because they are not interchangeable. Also, be warned that if you have existing Profile appliances, the plastic inlays will not match. For some reason GE changed the color to gray and all my other appliances are a sleek black.
I would recommend this to a friend!

1St Purchase stopped working

My first purchase stopped heating after 18 months of service.So , I have to buy second one to get compatability with installation. I don't have a choice to buy different model.

The accompanying "instructions" consisted of a 6 page, 1 sheet paper with 1/2 page of "cooking instructions."
