2nd one in 2 years that failed

First one died after 14 months. Second one started acting up (control panel acting randomly psychotic) after 3 months. The QA must be non-existent on these things.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fits the prior Trim Kit

My 7 year old GE Monogram ZE2160SF quit working entirely. The GE site says my existing trim kit JX2130SH would not work with the newer model PEB7226SFSS and would have to order the new one. The measurements were virtually the same (one was off 1/8"), so I figured I would try using the old trim kit first. The newer model fit the old trim kit perfectly. Every hole lined up exactly the same. The installation was quick and easy.

This was a replacement of an older built-in model, which still worked after 10 years of use. We updated the microwave to put the house on the market and purchased the current built-in model. We will purchase another for our new home.

Tinny, noisy

So sorry I bought this product. Door doesn't close properly. You have to press it all along the side or the light stays after using it. It's the noisiest micro I've ever had and end every cycle by speeding up and getting louder. The door and closing mechanism is so flimsy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features but unreliable!

Built in Microwave that we bought went bad in its 13th month - just outside it's 1 year statutory warranty. We were told repair cost, because of labour cost would be 40% higher than what we paid for! disappointed with GE quality.

Replaced GE Profile Microwave

A couple weeks ago our old GE Profile Microwave went out and since it was built in above my oven I wanted to replace it with the same identical model. Could not find the exact model number on line, therefore I called the GE office and was given the replacement model which I had to order on line and also had to order and replace the inside frame that the Microwave would sit on inside the opening. I was very concerned about the new product fitting where the old one was and also the bracket assembly that was to be screwed into the cabinet. I took the frame out of the packing and placed it in the opening where the old frame was unscrewed from the cabinet and the old screw holes were exactly perfect for the new frame, within minutes I had assembled the new Microwave and bracket and everything was working great. Thanks to the GE representative for the help in getting the replacement that I needed.
