Nice looking product works well for most things

Works fine. Has lost more power then expected on a 1100 watt microwave. Tested much lower then rated. Works well enough for our needs.

Replacement for a 13 year old GE Profile unit.

Good looking unit and it fit into the same space as the older unit. That was the deciding reason for the purchase aside from the GE brand.

Good microwave but door not aligned properly

The microwave does a great job heating and it looks great. I would prefer the buttons such as Cook Time and Power Level to be bigger and more prominent. I don't use the MyPlate and other buttons. Not sure if it was an install issue or the oven but you generally have to push the door closed at the top of the door for it to close completely. There is just the slightest misalignment.

Purchased this to replace pre-existing GE model that came with the house. This was the closest model to that one, which we loved, but it was no longer available. The power on this one is slightly less - so takes a bit longer to perform same functions. But it has functioned well, and has all the same options, which I use and like.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It works perfectly fine as for cooking and heating. But, I don't like some of its programming. I hate that every time you push a number it gives you express cooking - ie - press 10 (like you want 10 seconds) and you get express 10 minutes. If you want to put in your own time, you have to hit Cook Time first. Express should only be for a couple minutes. More importantly - it does not have a soften/melt button. As a baker, I really miss that pre-programmed button and often end up over cooking when trying to melt. And, I still have no idea what the My Plate button is supposed to do or how to program that. I do like the vegetable button - seems to cook fresh vegetables just right.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this microwave to complete our GE stainless steel kitchen. Perfect microwave but a trim kit is not available if mounted in a base cabinet. Didn't understand that one. The install still turned out ok even though it sit on a shelf rather than in the cabinet with a trim kit.
