Slate finish is great. It does not show every fingerprint like stainless. Size is perfect for pizza, casseroles, or dinner plates.

Great microwave

I bought this microwave to install to my wall cabinets for a semi custom look next to my double wall oven. I have been using for a year now and this powerful microwave is still doing a great job heating my food.

Subpar performance

I bought this last month and had it installed. My first bag of popcorn showed me what I could expect. It was only two-thirds popped. This MW replaced the same model MW, which lasted 14 months, just out of warranty when it quit!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Magnetron failing after 16 months

Microwave came in with new house, sticker showed manufactured in 5/2016. Unit started making screeching sounds. Looked in up online and all stated magnetron about to fail.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice, solid appliance. Door needs to be firmly closed or the interlock doesn't make and it doesn't start. Also irritating is the if you don't start the oven within about a minute of placing the item inside, it clears your settings

GE Profile Microwave

Perfect fit as replacement for GE JE2160 using same trim. There is slight difference in look of SS but no one but me would notice. Door was a little out of align but with a little tweak works fine. Love the "add 30 seconds" button. Hope this one lasts longer than the 5 years we got out of the previous model

Easy to use - good features

Original Profile microwave installed in new home died after 4 years. But it was used quite a lot and nothing lasts forever. Replaced with identical model to continue to match all other Profile appliances as well as to ensure the cabinet mount kit could be reused. Installation was simple and the new microwave works perfectly.

This microwave replaces the previous one that is identical but failed in less than 2 years. I bought the exact same thing so I didn't have to replace the mounting hardware that is about the same price as the microwave. My hope is I got a lemon the first time. It also matches the other appliances and the wife insists they all match. I don't plan to switch all the kitchen appliances at the same time. Hope this one lasts longer than the last one. I also replaced the touch panel on the last one after a month of usage (under warranty). Fingers crossed, please bless me.
