Already broken, never really functioned properly

We have had this microwave for 3 1/2 years and the heating element is broken. I have just been told we will have to replace it and was shocked to see other reviewers mentioning this same issue. I am very disappointed and hate to have to spend more money to replace it again in such a short period of time. The turntable never worked properly and the door often wouldn't latch allowing the microwave to turn on. If anyone can recommend another microwave that has these same specs I would love it!

Works when it wants to

Have had trouble with it from day 4.. now less then 2 years old. the touch pad don't work the light inside flashes and screen got to all X's. ( no it's not the kid lock) happens all the time then few days later it works again.. it has never kept time... And it's built in . Can't just pull a plug.. JUNK!!!!

I have a built in microwave and unfortunately GE is the only one which fits my space requirement. The units are poorly constructed and seem to break after one year. I wish i had more options but this is my only choice.

Terrible microwave —- Shot after 16 months

We purchased this microwave at an appliance store a little over a year ago. We paid more for GE thinking it would buy us some reliability. It. Did. Not. Three months after the warranty expired, it started sparking on us and the inside wall caught fire. We are headed back to the store where we will be purchasing a much less expensive microwave from another manufacturer.

Bought a brand new home and this microwave didn't even make it three years! Wow, what a joke. GE appliances are horrible.

How can it fail this soon?

This microwave is only 2 years old and it has already failed. The repair costs more than a new one. Nothing displays and the buttons do not function. :(
