Versatile workhorse

There are so many great features to this microwave. We moved into a model home and this microwave was the one in the home. Having used the microwave for a year I’ve barely scratched the surface of the features of this microwave. It does a great job sensing potatoes and defrosting. Additionally, it’s very easy to clean inside and outside.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sparking after 3 years

Microwave came with our newly built home as a suite of GE products. Worked great until it began arcing. Appliance repair says it is not repairable as the case is comprimised as well. Not impressed with GE right now as our dishwasher pump failed a few months ago causing damage to the hardwood floors.

Less than 5 years old multiple problems Magnitron tube arks and sparks when using unless a small container of water kept inside door latch broke which renders unit useless Into the recycling it goes Will not purchase GE appliances

Purchased microwave in March 2020 as part of a suite of GE products with a new home purchase. It recently began sparking and we have been advised that the unit is no longer serviceable. Seems to be a common issue with this model which is probably why it has been discontinued. Problem is there is only one GE model that will fit the existing space and the stainless steel version looks to be black with silver trim. Not at all complementary in our stainless steel kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst Microwave. Died after 3 yrs

Died after 3yrs, makes my wonder how my other GE Profile appliances are going to last! Purchased special cabinet for this microwave to be a built in when we did our full kitchen remodel.

Do not put butter in this mircowave, the wall of the microwave instantly catch on fire. So very scary!!!
