This microwave doesn't seem very powerful. You can hear it fluctuate,.. the way most microwaves do on the defrost setting, this microwave does all the time.

It was great until it died

I feel a little envious of those reviewers who said their microwave lasted several years but then died. We brought a brand new house in 2018 and the microwave and other GE appliances were already installed. The microwave died less than 2 years after moving in. We used it lightly - just to make popcorn or reheat coffee. Now I need to replace it with one close to the same size and able to use the existing trim kit.

DO NOT BUY! BREAKS QUICKLY!

I bought 2 microwave ovens that are not used frequently. The first one broke in a year and the second lasted 3 years. I called a repair person and they are not repairable. I bought 2 GE Profile microwaves for the same spot and they did not last long either. These are built-in microwaves so they are expensive to replace. It is frustrating when an expensive item breaks quickly.

Stop Heating after 3 years

I believe they should last longer especially when you pay that much for a microwave. Builder installed this in my kitchen along with the trim. I will invest money to remove this bad product from my kitchen along with the trim and get a reputable brand.
You are not holding me, hostage, to your product because of this trim.
