GE Profile MW Suddenly Stopped Cooking/Heating Etc

Same experience as others have noted about this microwave. Purchased to replace a similar GE profile microwave in April 2017. The original lasted from 2005-2017. This recent one lasted less time than the original. Will not purchase again. Good to know from feedback trim kit is not compatible with other products. I would not recommend now that I’ve had 2 separate experiences with this product.

GE Microwave Model PEB7226SFSS Caught Fire

In "Popcorn" mode it began sparking behind the plate on the right side and then burst into flames by the time I got to it. I've never heard of a microwave catching fire so I Googled it and apparently it's common with this model

Absolute piece of garbage. Had issues with it from 3 months after purchase. Twice GE paid for repairs from a local repair shop, which took forever, then I replaced the fuse myself because I didn’t want to wait 3 weeks to have a working microwave. Less than 6 months later and it’s dead again.

Burning smell and stopped working sparks inside

Arcing and sparks burn smell and not working. Not sure if safe to try. It started and stopped on its own.

Safety Hazard!

GE Profile PEB7226SF1SS with same issue as others have noted the microwave has sparked and stopped heating. The turn table works but the light doenst turn on and it no longer heats. I have discontinued using it due to the safety hazard.

These products are such garbage. I purchased this item less than 2 years ago sgd once again it is out sgd having to look for another microwave. Do not buy this garbage. 🤬
