Dangerous microwave

Too dangerous to use.

Just like other experiences, ours is burning up and sparking in that same area. It is now too dangerous to use. Can it be repaired or is this completely dead. I would like to discuss with GE support.

Fire hazzard!

GE microwave, PEB7226SFSS, started sparking and even caused a few fires, just as a few others here have commented. Very disappointed, my whole kitchen is outfitted in GE appliances and now I am out this expensive microwave.
I have discontinued using due to the few fires that started up while using. Do not teccomend!!

Fire Hazard in Cabinet Microwave

This microwave is a safety hazard. My teen children used it and it flamed while they were home alone. Very dangerous. Now I have to figure out how to replace this in cabinet microwave that if used again could burn my house down.

Sparking Problem

This microwave is fitted for a tight in-cabinet space. As others on this site have noted, it started sparking a few days ago. I am disappointed because replacing in this space will be a challenge. There is obviously a design flaw since so many others are experiencing this issue. :(

There should be a recall on this product !!

Multiple issues here. A couple of years ago the entire digital panel conked off and I had to get that replace for a tidy sum.
A couple of days ago it started Arcing with sparks and noise all over the wave guide.
Apparently, this cannot be fixed because the interior steel has also been compromises along with the wave guide tip. Bad design and it seems to be a common problem with these GE profile appliances.
There should be a recall on this product
I do not recommend buying this or any GE products

Stopped heating & burning smell

We cannot find a comparable replacement for our built in. We have all GE profile appliances and are very dissatisfied with this product. What can we replace our unit with that is comparable? GE should be recalling all of these microwaves and assist in the replacement.
