I bought this microwave oven because my old one broke and the same model was discontinued. The reason I bought this model is because the dimensions are the same as the old one. Not that happy with the new microwave. The finish (black) is dull. The volume sound of the beeper is low. The unit has a Sound Button, but all that does is give you a choice if you want the beeper on or not... useless. Timer feature on the unit doesn't give you enough warning when the time is up. You get one beep, not a continuous sound until turn off the timer....useless. The Beverage feature is a joke.... barely heats my coffee. I expected more from GE....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a replacement for a 10 year old built-in GE microwave. We were so worried that dimensions had changed and we wouldn't be able to mount it in the existing space. Imagine our relief that the size hadn't changed and we could just pop it in place. Thank you!

Although my microwave had to be repaired 2 times. GE Customer Service was great. I Received A New Microwave.

This came in the standard package in my new home. So far, it seems to have good features and works very well. The only problem is the noisy turntable.

Poor quality and won't stand behind product!

I purchased Model PEB7226SF1SS microwave a year ago. The unit quit working completely. I took it back to the store where I purchased a complete set of appliances kitchen appliances. They said they would have it fixed. I find out today the Control Panel and the Power Control Board went out and are back ordered until March 24th, 2015.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this model microwave a year ago and had nothing but issue after issue with it. GE finally decided to replace the device, but that didn't happen until after 5 service calls. I can only hope that my issues will go away, but I think it is very unlikely.
