I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with these!
I recently began running for exercise, and was in the market for a more stable earbud. After trying another pair (which I had to return as they wouldn't stay put) I decided to bite the bullet, and give these a shot. WOW, so glad that I did!!
First of all, they are absolutely as comfortable as everyone has said. After the first couple of minutes, you can barely tell that they're on. Best of all - they stay PUT!! No more stopping in the middle of a sprint, only to have to shove an earbud back in place.
The sound quality is amazing as well, with deep base, rich tones, etc. Another reviewer stated that they were able to notice sounds that they've never heard before, which is so true!
In closing, all I can say is if you're on the fence, just buy them! I don't beleive that you'll regret it, at all.
Best Uses: When I travel, Gym / Working Out

I listen to music daily for probably an hour or so and I absolutely love the new Bose IE2 Headphones. I have been a loyal Bose customer for about 5 years and will always be one because their products are just outstanding and the IE2 headphones are just that. I have owned the first version of the Bose in ear headphones for about 3 years and they were and still are my favorite headphones i have ever owned. We will have to see if the new IE2 headphones take their place. First off the sound quality of the new IE2 headphones is just superb!! They are just as good and in my opinion better sounding than the first in ear headphones. They are very deep, crisp, and clear and with a big bass sound from very small headphones! They are probably the most comfortable headphones i have ever worn in my life. They have never fallen out and after a while of listening to them i forget that I'm even wearing headphones that's how comfortable they are. If you are not use to the Bose in ear headphones then you may have to get use to it but believe me it is extremely comfortable and the best headphones for exercising. I just have one thing to say about the people who are saying the sound quality is not great. You probably do not have a very clear version of the song and the sound quality of the song is just bad and its not the headphones fault cause it can't make a badly recorded version of a song sound great. Either that or the device you have your headphones plugged into does not transmit good sound quality to the headphones. I have a Zune HD and the sound quality is just outstanding and as good as its going to get. If you find a better sounding in ear headphone i would love to hear them because i honestly don't think they exist. The only thing i do not like is the case that it comes with. The case for the first in ear headphones was a lot better and less bulky so i don't know how much i will be using the case. Other than that i love the black and white alternating chord it really looks neat and the headphone jack on the end of the chord is a lot better than the first in ear headphones. All in all just the absolute best headphones you can buy in my opinion. The price in my opinion wasn't even an obstacle because I would pay even more for these headphones because they have the best sound quality and that's what is most important to me in headphones. I will continue to buy Bose products for a very long time because they just have the very best products. I would highly recommend this product to anyone!

These have great sound and stay where they are supposed to be. I run with them a lot, and no other sets stayed in unless I screwed them to my head.

I was apprehensive about spending $100 on a set of earbuds, but read so many positive reviews not only about the sound, but the comfort I decided to give them a shot. I am very glad I did. Regular earbuds always either fall out of my ear, or start to hurt after 20-30 minutes. I've worn these for hours at a time and after a few minutes you don't even feel them at all anymore. No more sore ears/etc. The sound these put out is simply amazing as well. For tiny little earbuds, there is a surprising amount of bass, however it does not overpower the rest of the spectrum. Everything is nicely balanced. The sound is just as good as some over ear headphones that I have except these are MUCH more portable. If you are on the fence about them, trust me, you will NOT be disappointed.

What's great about it: Fit was perfect and volume max is great.
What's not so great: Bass is horrible. Expected more from Bose. No volume control or mic on cord.
Very poor sound quality for Bose. Sound and bass distorts easily. No controls on cord like on older model. Fit in ears was excellent which almost makes up for all else.

What's great about it: Compact, STAY IN MY EARS, block outside noise, excellent sound quality
What's not so great: The Bud itself starts to irritate my ear after its been in for a long time, like hours.
I have tried so many different ear buds and they all sucked, either they hurt my ears, fell out as soon as I put them in or fell out when I moved. I use them when I work out and when I'm studying or just listening to music. These Bose earbuds stay in! They come with three sizes of silicone fit thingy's, so a good fit is easy to match to your ears. The sound quality is what you would expect from Bose, not as great as the ear muff design, but still better than any other earbuds.

The sound is perfect, but it lacks the bass that I need, but overall its a really good product. I wouldn't recommended to my friends however, especially at that price. You can get better ear phones for cheaper

What's not so great: Case Size is not utilized to its fullest--could include a cord wrap so users do not over wrap or tangle their cord
First let me say that I have used various active/sports headphones since I started cross country in high school and would run and sweat for hours. Most of those sucked, and I had the best experience with clip/hook on headphones, but they would eventually break so I kept buying 10-15 dollar pairs of those.
Lately I started a new job resetting grocery store shelves which requires me to climb, crawl, jump, carry, lift, and use rapid arm movements to fill the product in. This job allows headphones but my clip ons would fall out with the dynamic movement and my arms and fingers would get caught on the wire.
Then I got these Bose to solve that problem. The in ear wedge design is fantastic. No matter what I do they do not budge. There is a clip included on the wire that lets you clip it to your shirt--with that I can make sure i have enough slack to move freely but not so much that it can get caught on anything.
I sweat excessively while working as well and since its mostly from my head and not my inner ear the sweat never seems to touch these head phones. And since they are so comfortable I can wear them for 8 hours straight with no discomfort.--Don't be afraid to try the smaller size ear bud as the first night i used them I had the medium on, but did get a little sore after 8 hours, switched to the smaller ones and was amazed by how even more comfortable they got, and they still don't budge.
The sound quality was amazing the first couple of days, but now I am used to it, but I prefer to listen to everything with them on now if I have the option to use them.
They seem pretty durable as far as the buds and jack go, but the wire is probably just as fragile as any other. So as long as you don't over wrap them or stress the wire they should be fine. Which is why the case is so large, because they should take up about that much room when loosely wrapped and not forced into a tight bundle. I wish it included some kind of wrapping mechanism in the case to make it easier to wrap properly. One big plus in the durability is that the wire just before the jack is reinforced by rubber, and the jack is tilted so the connection does not get bent as much.
I like the white and black cord as it is easier to see so it will never get mixed in with my other cordy gadgets or snagged because it blended into my clothing and I didn't see it was about to hit something.
Overall I am very happy with them, If these ever break I will consider buying the version with a speaker in them for smartphones.
A few caveats: the sliding cord manager on the top end seems to slide back down a little too easy over time, but I am moving a ton. If on a low to medium volume you can hear the sound around you, but this is plus for me as the rule at my job is you have to hear it if the boss calls for you. She keeps trying to test my hearing with these on since most employees have to keep one bud out to still hear but I keep surprising her lol. Even at the medium volume levels sound is great--I listen on a older Sansa Clip

These are the third pair of these headphones; the first two I bought for my son and daughter, this pair was to replace my daughter's which wore out (due to constant "twirling" of the earbuds around her finger when not using them). If you treat them carefully, these earbuds are a great compromise between price and convenience...and great Bose quality.

After using the Bose ie2 headphones frequently for about two years I can surely advise that any music lover will enjoy these headphones. Firstly, the sound quality is amazing on these headphones, whether I was listening to an audio book or a fast paced song the lyrics came off crisp and clear. However, one downside to these headphones that I have found is the medium amount of bass that they have, nonetheless these are the best headphones I have ever owned in terms of quality and design. Bose is regarded for their quality and design, and the Bose ie2 headphones are no exception. After the two years that I have owned these headphones I never once had to replace them, even after having dropping these headphones on the ground numerous times they still work the same as the way I received them.
I have noticed that I use these headphones for many different purposes and activities ranging from exercise to blocking out ambient noise for studying. These headphones are great for exercising after putting them in I didn’t even notice that they were in my ears after I took them off after a two mile. The different types of earpieces that come with the headphones allowed me to choose the perfect fit for my ears.
Compared to the Apple in ear headphones which were my previous headphones, I can safely say that these headphones are 10 times better.

These headphones were a major disappointment. They are very comfortable and once you put them in your ears, provided you have the right size ear piece on, unless you take them out, they will not move. However, for $100.00 and being Bose, I expected WAY better sound quality. They don't sound bad, but my $30.00 Sony earbuds sound every bit as good as these. In fact, I had to turn the volume on my iPod touch up louder for the same sound with these than with my Sonys. I tried them on my Sony Vio laptop, my iPod Touch and nano and played with the equalizers and all different kinds of music to no avail. Needless to say, they were returned the next day. Unless all you care about is comfort, save your $$$$$. There is way better sound quality out there if you're willing to pay $100.00. I returned these for the Klipsch Image S4s that are $20.00 less than these and sound way better.

Overall I would recommend to anyone who wanted quality headphone. However, they are not made for rough handlers. Must be handled responsibly. It's amazing how good the sound is and yet you can hear what's going on around you. It does not drown out your surroundings

I have always had trouble with ear buds as they would constantly fall out of my ears. And it would only get worse when you are working out or running and start to sweat. But I have been using these for several weeks now and I have not had one problem with them slipping or popping out of my ears! They are really comfortable and I forget I even have them on when I am using them. Plus the sound is excellent as well. Highly recommend

We bought the Bose on-ear headphones for my mother-in-law for christmas, and I was blown away by the great sound quality. That size would not work for me since I wanted to be able to wear them on my motorcycle, so I thought I would give the earbuds a try. I know that they work well for some, but I could not get them to stay in my ears, and I was not really impressed with the sound quality. In my opinion, they didn't sound any different than the ear buds that came with my ipod. I ended up returning them to the store. For the little bit of price difference, go with the on-the-ear version, and I think you will be much happier.
