The beauty is not just skin deep

I was looking for a gas range that had the looks of a professional range but without the finicky problems that seem to go with one of those high priced models, and I seem to have found it in this Samsung range. The burners light quickly and heat evenly, the continuous grates are easy for moving the pots around on the range. The oven works great and heats evenly , especially with the convection options. It is so much different to use than my old electric clunker range. Things on the cook top cook much quicker on a gas burner so I've had to adjust to that. The oven seems more true to temperature than my old electric so if I follow the temps and times on the recipes exactly, I get perfect results. The electronic display is nice and minimal , no stupid chicken nuggets button, all the nomenclature is under the glass so it can't be wiped off with cleaner, and the knobs aren't plastic. Don't know why anyone would want one of the pricey professional ranges when this one has all the nice features at a better price.

I researched and read reviews before choosing this range. It was the top rated range on Consumer Reports and I am very glad I got it. The low simmer works well, the high power burner heats quickly and the oven is spot on temperature and heats evenly, front to back and side to side. The warming drawer is very handy and the slide out rack is very convenient.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, large oven door window

I love how seamless the stainless steel flows on this freestanding range! It comes with preprogrammed features such as dehydrating and bread proofing. It lets you save up to 3 of your favorite cook settings. Stunning design meets convenient utility. Thank you for another great product Samsung!

We needed a new range right before Christmas. I jumped online to do my research and had actually found a similar Samsung range that we had intended on purchasing. That is until we came across this one in the store. It was on sale for slightly more than the original range we intended to purchase which was 1/3 the list price for this one. It was a no brainer.
Anyway what sold it for us was the size of the oven which is huge with a large viewing window, the more powerful burners and the slide out rack. The all stainless steel surface cleans easily - much more easily than the typical porcelain top ranges we've owned.
The oven heats up quickly and holds and maintains temperature quite well. One of the things I like is the "door open" warning you get if you leave the door open too long.
The burners are powerful and provide a wide range of cooking temperature options. I've seen several complaints about being unable to find a "simmer" burner...Well, this range actually has two. The center burner with the griddle is great for foods like pancakes or bacon. The nonstick griddle cleans up easily.
My only complaint is that the display panel. If there is any sort of glare it makes it very difficult to read. The background is stainless and the letters are black. Not a clever design. But the controls are easy to use and I like the fact that you actually have to press and hold the touch pad for 3 seconds to avoid accidental shut off or temperature adjustment.
Pros: cleans easily, oven holds temperature well and cooks evenly, large oven capacity, versatile burners
Cons: display panel can be difficult to read

Spontaneously stops working

Bought this less than three years ago only to have the oven spontaneously stop working...stovetop works fine, digital area too, but can't get the oven working. Unbelieveable after less than three years of use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The product has been flawless. I have had to adjust settings as the burners seem to be more efficient than my previous GE Profile. The convection oven has decreased baking time, I have actually found that I really enjoy using the included grill on the center burner. I have not used the included wok rack, I also appreciate some of the subtle controls such as the automatic shut-off control for the oven if you know there is a specific time needed for oven use, Quite handy. Very pleased with the product. Consumer Reports got this one right!

great cooking appliance. but have to say the stainless steel top doesn't hold up as far as staining. have had several boil overs such as water and tomatoe sauce, needless to say these have left stains on the top and discolored the stainless, makes you wander about the quality of the metal. Also the metal is very soft and doesn't seem to have the hardness of american steel. disappointing to say the least.

Depending on how long you had your previous stove, this stove brings you into the future. It might take a moment to learn how to work all of the features of the stove and oven -- So keep the manual handy. Once you figure it out, you will like the stove and oven's true convection performance. I think the oven cooks a little faster than normal. Everyone in the household is happy! Thanks.
