Worked great for 4 years

After 4 years the oven burner stopped working and required service. This is the 3rd Samsung appliance in the past year that has required service after only 3-4 years of regular use. These appiances are priced at a premium but you do not get what you paid for. I'm ready to replace all of my appliances (which are all Samsung) with other, more reliable brands. They should just stick to electronics.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I LOVE this stove

Since I rely so much on customer reviews I felt it necessary to talk about this stove. I've had it for 3 weeks and haven't had time to try everything yet, but so far every feature I used was great. I used the bread proofing to make pizza dough and had a pizza within 2 hours after the thought crossed my mind. The multi-purpose burners are great. I used the large middle burner for both the griddle concept and as a burner. Initially I thought that the flame was too low for the griddle, but it made perfect pancakes. It also saved me when I was preparing a large quantity of pot roast for a family dinner. I had too much meat to fit into my baking pan to roast in the oven for 5 hours. I didn't have time to do this twice. I took the extra roast and put it in another baking pan and cooked it on the large middle burner on top of the stove while the other roasts were cooking in the oven. I was able to set my sauce on the rear simmer burner and walk away from it for hours without worrying about it burning. My sour cream coffee cake was perfect. The pull out oven rack is great. I had to check the manual regarding the convection feature. On my prior electric stove, the convection fan went on immediately. On this stove it doesn't come on until the desired temperature is achieved and then goes on and off intermittently. Oven heats up fast.
Easy to clean and keep clean.
Pros: Inexpensive, looks like a commercial stove

I recently purchased this gas range and wanted to take a moment to share my experience with others who may be considering a new Samsung appliance. I cook a lot of Asian dishes, and the included cast iron wok ring was a huge plus when I was shopping for my ideal setup. I am very pleased with the quality of the range, it has a very intuitive control interface with all the usual bell's and whistles included. The warming drawer feature is very nice, and my wife loves the slide out rack feature in the oven. The gas burners on top are all very well positioned and when used according to your power needs there's a place for everything as far as high and low btu output on the 5 burners. My only issue although a small one is the left side seems to be just a tad uneven causing a slight wobble on the included cast iron grate, I swapped the left and right side grates to see if i had one that was slightly warped but it made no difference. Overall, I am very pleased with the price point of this gas range and its many features.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, easy to install, cast iron wok ring included
Cons: uneven cooktop causes grate to wobble

We have owned the NX58F5700 a few weeks and are very happy with the features and performance. The gliding oven rack is an excellent option and wished the stove came with 2 of them.
Pros: Bright display, Durable

Cannot simmer
on February 13, 2015

Looking at the dials for each burner and reading the manual you would expect the burner flame to be highly adjustable. It isn't. The dials produce basically 2 results: Full on high or Low. There really aren't any other results you can get. So, you must find a burner that has either a full on high setting or a low setting that best suits your cookware and the dish you are making. It is thoroughly frustrating. The worst thing is that none of the burners will adjust low enough to produce an actual simmer. The right rear burner is described in the manual as "The right rear side burner provides precise cooking performance for delicate foods and foods that require low heat for long cooking times." It does NOT do this. You get a full boil even at the lowest setting. "Delicate foods" will burn.
The convection oven is great. I enjoy it. It produces wonderful results.
Still, the surface burners are what are used most often. The inability to adjust the flames makes it hard to cook some items. Using them can be a infuriating. Because of that I have recommended to friends that they do not buy this range. Look at other manufacturers.
Pros: Bright display, convection oven is great
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, cannot fine tune burner flames
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Sliding Rack on this Range Will Collapse - Not good
on March 7, 2015

If you put more than 11Lbs on the sliding rack, it will collapse and fall to the bottom of the oven as will your food. The rack designed is such a way that it allows movement left to right (or right to left). This leaves enough slack that that rack will fall off the side supports. I recommend potential buyers go to an appliance store and check it out for yourself. Just push down on the rack and you will see it slips off the oven wall sides and falls down.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Response from Samsung USBy Ms. SamsungHQMarch 12, 2015
Hi McDerm,

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with the Gliding Rack in your NX58F5700 Range. Please make sure the back of the Gliding Rack is locked into the brackets in the back of the Range. You can do this by pushing the rack in so it's in its compact position (with racks stacked over one another), then slide the rack in all the way, pushing from the front to the back. Once it is in place, the top sliding portion can be pulled out and it shouldn't move from side to side at all.

If, after trying this, the rack still isn't seated securely, please submit an online service request (click here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/request) or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Thank you,
Ms. Samsung

Always Wanted Stainless Steel

After using our previous gas range for 25+ years, we were in need of a new state-of-the art gas range with high customer satisfaction. We did our research and settled on the Samsung model and we are very pleased to date. The only suggestion for improvement would be to incorporate a surface more resistant to fingerprints. Outside of that, the range-top works great and so do the oven functions, especially the convection mode.
Pros: Bright display, appearance
I would recommend this to a friend!
