The quality of ink is acceptable but I newer could get even 50% of the advertised number of pages out of any HP cartridges. It's not environmentally friendly to place only 5 drops of ink in each cartridge.

Getting faulty or rejection messages is confusing. Let me help you discover the cause of the issue. I'm very sorry for your experience. If the printer doesn't recognize the original cartridge, it can't scan the cartridge's barcode. You can verify the authenticity of the cartridge at www.hp.com/anticounterfeit/. Try to restart your printer without the cartridge present. Then, reinsert the cartridge.
