I've been using HP cartridges for over 10 years and always pleased with them. They normally last for months of printing. However, this latest one, after fewer than 25 pages is half empty. Not happy about that..!!
I have had this printer for over 6 years. I love it. I bought it because of the price and the all in one printer. It copes, scan and prints. It's so helpful with school, emailing thing and the wireless hook up I can print or send things from my phone and hp computers.
My printer still will not print unless I lift the lid, Adjust the black ink cartridge and then close lid. NEW BLACK CARTRIDGE INSERTED!!! HELP!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi,
I'm sorry that you haven't been able to print without adjusting the cartridge. It sounds like the cartridge might have a smudge on the copper contacts, or something else that is interfering with getting a good connection.
You can check the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer (where they met the ones on the cartridge) to ensure that they are clean and undamaged. Clean them with a lint-free material, and then reinsert the cartridge, making sure it is firmly in its slot. That should ensure that the printer is connecting to the cartridge properly.
If that doesn't help, reset the printer by unplugging it while it is still on, wait a minute and then turn it back on.
If all else fails, you can contact us for replacement, or if it appears it is the printer at fault contact us for help with it at: hp.com/contactHP
