Exactly What I Wanted!

This printer does everything I wanted it to do. It is fast, saves paper with the duplex printing and saves money with long lasting toner cartriges.

Very good laser printer. Can't be beat for the money. Follow up by Brother, especially with firmware updates, is outstanding. Set up on my network was very easy. Recommended to our neighbor, and they are very pleased as well. My only complaint is that it seems to take a long time to go to sleep after printing just one or two pages. I've set the sleep time to the minimum. It just can't have generated that much heat with only one or two pages. Could be a bit more quiet as it cools down.

HL 2270 DW Printer

The printer works great - fast acting and good quality printing. My only complaint: After installing my first toner cartridge when the origional ran out, I now get the blinking TONER light every time it prints. It flashes the toner warning message on my screen, which I always X out. Apparently there is a bad sensor, or it didn't reset properly when I installed the new cartridge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another great Brother product. Have been using this now for about 2 months. It was extremely easy to set up as a wireless unit. It automatically downloaded the updated firmware and recognized my wireless connection immediately. I had one little glitch after moving it to another floor in the house but their software includes a great help guide and it reconnected it to my router. I have to give this a 5 star rating all around. Best printer I have ever had.

Almost great

Pretty good for the price except:
1. The power cord connection isn't really snug. Minor jostling of the cord can cause power to be interrupted.
2. I use the printer mostly on a Linux computer, and the correct driver doesn't seem to be available. It's not much of a problem except when trying to print web pages. It results in an error and page not being printed a lot of the time.
Other than that, it's great. Print quality is good, it prints envelopes well, and I love the duplex mode.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Cost Effective Work Horse

I do consulting and work out of my home. I use the 2270DW extensively. I have had it for over a year and not even a hiccup. I have never had a paper jam and the dual sided printing works exceptionally well. I have a color printer for other purposes, but I use my 2270DW about 90% of the time. The cost to operate this printer is much lower than most inkjet printers. The print quality is excellent. Wireless operation is exceptional. I highly recommend this printer. I had an occasion to call support when I was getting the wireless to work, and the Brother personnel resolved my issue very quickly Great job Brother. I will definitely purchase another of your products when the need arises.
