This is our 2nd Brothers in 15 yrs. I love this one also. Simple, cheap actually feel like we got our money's worth for something in this day and age. It provides quick, clear, crisp documents. It works well with my wireless and have had no problems with it. Wish I could afford a colour one some day but this will do quite fine here in the states.

Crisp and Fast

This is the fastest printer I've ever owned. It has also been remarkably trouble-free since I started using it. The duplex feature offers a wonderful choice if reducing piles of paper is a goal.
It turns on really quickly as well.
I do wish the toner cartridge would last longer, but like most printers it gives you the "low toner" warning long before you need to do anything.

Great little printer

We print a lot of black and white documents at home and I wanted to have a shared document printer that we could use. My main purpose was to save money on expensive ink jet cartridge replacements. This printer really fit the bill! It was a breeze to set up with one touch wireless networking setup and in no time at all we were printing from our mac books, PCs and even iPhones and iPad. The built in duplex printing is a real paper saver too.
You won't find a better laser printer in this price range.

good overall, does not work with mac

I am happy with this printer overall but am frustrated that there has been no release of software to make it compatible the Apple Mountain Lion OS. I can use it with my PC but not with my Mac. This is very annoying. I hope Brother will make this a priority in the near future.

This is the third Borther printer that we own and we luv it! Wanter a compact wireless printer that we could use upstairs (the other printers are downstairs) so we would have to run up and down the steps all the time. Our space was limited and the HL-2270DW filled our needs to a "tee."
The economical price coupled with our great experience with Brother printers and the small footprint of the 2270DW our choice perfect!
I whole heartily this printer to anyone looking for a new printer. Thanks Brother!

I just picked up this printer yesterday, and so far, so good. Set-up with my Mac and my wireless network was not so great, thus the 4/5 stars. Following the instructions that came with the printer, I inserted the disc into my Mac, launched the set-up, and was greeted with a message telling me that the software has no support for my operating system (Mac OS 10.8.4). Wow...okay. I visited support.apple.com, found a driver, downloaded it (instead of the driver that comes with the printer, as Apple suggests), and installed it. No problems. I then tried following Brother's instructions further by running the wireless set-up utility, and ran into more problems. The utility isn't exactly what I'd call clear, so I stumbled through it a bit. After kind of figuring out the WPA set-up process on my own, it all came together and I can print nice, sharp two-sided docs, wirelessly, from both my Mac and from my iPhone using Brother's iPrint app. Nice. If Brother made their set-up experience more user friendly, this would be a 5/5 star review. That being said, the printer itself is probably 5/5, but customer experience is important.
