very good purchase

this printer works really well. No problem setting up, no problem with any functionality. At the same time I purchased a Brother MFC-J4710DW. This machine is horrible. It is a color all-in-one machine. Right from the start it jams all the time, pulls through extra sheets of paper, copies on more than 1 sheet, and apparently Brother isn't much interested in my frustration with that machine. But this one, the HL-2270DW, I really like.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very good printer

Very good printer.
Probably the only thing I absolutely hate about it is total lack of software for easy access to settings. God forbid you have to change your router or even simple SSID or network password change will take you to the complete redo of installation. Dumb, dumb.
Other than that I would recommend it to my friends

Easy To Use

I've had my Brother Laser Printer for several months now, long enough to have run enough copies that I needed to replace the ink cartridge. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease with which the used ink cartridge came out and the new ink cartridge went in. I have had very few paper jams, and I really enjoy being able to make double sided copies, saving on paper. The printer is quick and makes clear copies all the time. I'm very pleased with this purchase for my home office. My only disappointment is that my computer remembers the previous settings, so I have to watch carefully if I only want 1 copy after previously printing multiple copies!

HL-2270DW Compact Laser Printer

Really love my brother printer--especially the 2-sided printing function, wi-fi and customer service (they were very helpful in getting my wi-fi running). I hope this printer will last a long-time.

This is the first Brother product I have owned and was chosen after careful research. It has matched its reputation in all respects causing me no problems in any of its functions. It is simple to use, fast, produces clean and strong copies rapidly, and is compact and efficient.

I've had my printer for a year. The starter cartridge lasted 889 pages. The yield was 500 I think. I have dealt with laser printers at work and when the signal says change the toner, I just removed the cartridge and shook it side to side. I also just closed out the warning that would open up on the computer and keep printing. I don't print a lot but I am over 1600 pages of printing and the OEM cartridge says it has a 1400 page yield and the print out of the status of the printer says I'm not a 50% left. I'm happy.

Printer is everything that the advertising describes, lightweight, fast, small footprint, large paper tray, easy setup and connect.
Toner life great at 300 dpi with toner save on and gives good quality. At 600 dpi quality is as good as any printer I have observed.
Built in auto duplexing is a great paper saver when printing on both sides is desired.
Printer is located one room and a hallway away from wireless router and wireless connection has never disconnected.
Paper path has never jammed.
Have used every day for 3 months.

The most useful printer I have had in years

My only problem is that while at a previous address I had the use of the HL-2270DW as a wireless device, since I've moved to a new location, with the same provider, I have not been successful in connecting wirelessly. I spent hours on the phone both with the techs at Brothers and at Comcast and they both claim that it is a problem with the other service. So I seem to be locked into a cable (Ethernet) across the floor covered by plastic mats.
I would recommend this to a friend!
