Will not network

Tried both ethernet and USB connection to setup networking. Failed on my own, failed with Costco Concierge, failed with Brothers (overseas agent) help.
Duplex printing works OK.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My excellent choice for a printer

Review based on several months of experience with this printer.
The good: This is an attractive, compact printer that produces professional's quality results. I use it almost entirely for text and it does a quick, neat job without jamming. I also enjoy the convenience of automated duplex printing. The overall print quality is so good that I use the 300dpi toner-saving setting even for producing reports. All this at a bargain price
The not-so good: I had trouble setting up the wireless link and finally gave up. The printer does jam when I try to print duplex on three hole punch paper.
In sum, I am very pleased with my choice of this printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Most disappointing Brother Purchase Ever

I've had a few brother network laser printers and have been quite happy with them; so naturally I'm thinking this will be just as good if not better as it was demoed that way. Wrong, it has a micro print cartridge that runs out every 2 months...what a ripoff!
Back to the drawing boards people. It's a recession man, don't come out with junk like this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

shortly after starting using the printer I started getting messages that the printer was low on toner. Sliding the green tab cleared the message for a while, but it is using toner faster than I anticipated. I bought this printer because I was tired of paying for colored ink for my Canon printer. Otherwise it is a nice, fast and economically priced printer.

Great purchase

Bought to replace a decade+ old laser printer, and it was less than a replacement toner cartridge for the relic. Works really well, prints quickly, and is quite compact. Only downside was the short life of the toner cartridge that came with the printer.

Easy to get and set up

I've used Brother for some time and trust the brand. This printer is for a seasonal home and worked out very well. Easy to set up and wireless was easy. Good little printer for the price.

Low Toner Yield

All was fine. I was complimenting this printer left and right. Now: Low Toner error after printing 343 pages on the starter cartridge set for 700-page yield. Really?! All my printing has been straight text -- nothing fancy -- not a lot of "black" on the pages at all. And I don't even get half of what the cartridge claims to yield. I have a bad feeling about this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
