Easy set up. Works great.

Worked great out of the box. Quick, easy set up. Fast, great quality printing at an affordable price (for the unit and per page). I would recommend the wireless model to anyone with a WiFi network. No more a cables for me. I've only had it 3 weeks but I'd recommend it to anyone.

So far I like this printer, it is very fast. But, it is VERY noisy when it prints. I'm not sure why that is.

Works Just as Advertised

I purchased this printer because I often need to print duplex. On non-duplex printers this means flipping paper over and feeding it through again--not a problem for small jobs, but I'm printing manuscripts, and a single slipped piece of paper will throw off the manual duplexing. The HL-2270DW prints duplexing well--it doesn't jam or create other problems. The toner cartridge is easy to replace (purchase the high-yield TN-450) and the printer has a toner-saver mode. I had a bit of a problem getting the wireless to work, but carefully (and I mean to the letter) following the instruction manual made it work fine. It's great, because the printer is in another room and I didn't have to run a cable to it--very convenient! I would recommend this printer to anyone who needs painless duplex of B&W material.

I am very pleased with the Brother HL-2270DW. It was easy to set up. Now my wife & I share the same printer without cable switching aggrivation. The printing quality is very good. Great buy!

What a printer!

This is my 2nd laser monochrome but the stand-out feature for me has been the wireless capability throughout my home. I use Windows, MAC, and Kubuntu Linux and this printer works well with the three operating systems. The quality, duplex printing, and menu driven features are awesome. Someone mentioned that it lacked a copy counter to determine how many copies have been printed. This info can be found by using any browser and typing in the printer address. There is a ton of useful information at your fingertips. I use color inkjets but not for anymore for any job requiring monochrome, I'll save plenty of money on ink cartridges. Should have purchased a Brother long ago.

I bought the first printer because I wanted a double sided laser printer that would be inexpensive to operate and wanted a wireless printer so I could put it where I wanted in the house and print to it from anywhere. I was impressed and pleased with the results. It was easy to use and a trouble-free work horse. I just got the second printer for our vacation home.

I am a personal user. I purchased this unit because of the excellent performance of the first unit I bought 4 years ago. I can count the paper jams on one hand. quality is excellent, speed is appropriately useful, duplex features (those I have used so far) are terrific and have saved me at least 10% of the unit cost in paper. The unit is a great value. meets every printing need I have and performs reliably. One small negative item ( and this is probably my fault) envelopes come out slightly crooked if you don't use the rear exit. My printer is mounting in a closed cabinet and getting to the back end is a little bit awkward. Would be nice if the controls and indicator lights were mounted on the front ) but now I'm getting really picky) If you need a reliable, good quality personal laser printer with duplex and network capability this is the one to get.
