My First Laser Printer

Pretty good starter laser printer. Starts up a little noisy. Prints great and duplex mode saved me a lot of time. This model was recommended by a person who has been using Brother printers.

I replaced an older model with the HL-2270DW. My current printer works great. The print quality is also very good. Very reliable.

Disapointment

Just recieved the hl-2270 on 10/20/11. By 10/27/11 and after 220 pages later, it is low on toner. The Brother website states yeild aprox 1200 pages. Either Brother or myself does not know how to count. Since I used less than 1/2 of a reem of paper, my number is correct. I do not recommend this printer unless Brother fixes the problem. It is too bad since I love my Brother MFC 9120cn.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best printer purchase so far

Finally came out of the dark ages and got a laser for home office. Could not be happier. I set it up on a wired net, only because printer is right next to our router. Installation on all four of our computers - XP and Win 7 - went quickly and painlessly. Remote access to check things like default setup and page count is a plus. Love the duplex feature.

Great Machine. Simple,Fast,Functional

This is a great little machine that does everything.
Simple clean lines and a small footprint that fits neatly next to my work. No hassle duplex printing is always "in line" (no crooked printing). Saves paper!
The wireless feature is an added plus but the clean printing is excellent. I went through the initial toner fairly quickly (a "starter" cartridge?). I'll see how much printing I can get from the "regular" toner cartridge toner. If it is like my other Brothers, this should stand the test of time.Stay tuned.

I bought the HL-2270DW for my daughter to use with her collage studies on her computer because I have the HL-2280DW on my computer which is great. Once the first page prints the rest of the pages come out so fast duplexed you think only half of the pages printed. I couldn't be more pleased.
The starter toner cartridge is still printing away.
I've gone through plenty of printers, but this one the best I've ever had.
