Hardly ever print color material so thought I'd give a b&w laser a try. This printer installed without a care and has functioned beautifully on a daily basis. Also have a Brother label printer which I'm very pleased with and that experience steered me to a Brother laser printer. Great products.

Works like a champ

I use this printer in a Linux and Windows environment. Was easy to get working, and had no issues. Prints well. Linux 64 bit is a bit of a trouble to get working, but 32 bit is pretty much plug and play. I use Mint, a Ubuntu derivative. I have only ran about one ream through it so far, Duplex everything, and have had NO jams to this point.

I have had good luck with my 2270dw, and use it wireless all the time. However, when I turn it off for extended periods, I have to reinstall the print driver to activate it. The machine prints envelopes well, but setting up for envelope printing it a chore. In my case I have to relocate the machine so that I can access the back. That is not good design. Nevertheless, I am pleased with my purchase.

Very reasonable price, and set up was a breeze. Prints great. Nice not to have a cable to the computer. Only criticism: setting printer up to do envelopes is more involved than I'd like.

The printer worked fine.
Duplex printing worked fine except with 3-hole paper, which jammed prior to printing on the second side. I won't use that feature much, but that's why I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars.

Nice compact size. Easy to set up. Duplex printing saves a lot of paper. I use only for home use but am sure it would serve very nicely for any home office. I previously owned a larger Brother printer which lasted over 15 years. I believe Brother printers are the best.

I've always been happy with Brother printers, unlike some other brands. The HL-2270DW is one of the best. It's easy to network to the home network, does good quality printing fast, does duplex printing well and easily. The only problem I've encountered is with error messages in printing envelopes from Microsoft Word 2007. I'm pretty sure this is either due to my impatience as there is quite a delay before it starts to print - or it's a microsoft software problem. The envelopes come out fine.
All told, it is my most used printer and can't be beat for the price - it's worth far more to me than what I paid. The only one I like as much is my MFC-7840W which is the one I use for virtually all my scanning needs.
