EXCELLENT PRINTER

This printer has an outstanding price/performance. It is competitive in quality, speed, and simplicity of use with many more expensive printers. And to top it all off, it prints 2-sided: you don't waste paper and save the trees so they can fall on your house!
I would recommend this to a friend!

both sides printing option

There are only 2 things about this printer that I don't like. (1) Big draw down of power when I turn it on. (2) I have it set up to print on both sides of a page to save on paper. But it will do its double sided dance even its only writing on one side. It don't mater if its only a few words. Seams like a firmware update revision is needed to fix this. It would save ware and tear on the printer too.
Other than this I am VERY happy with it. Each page is perfect.

I like the printer for the most part.
However, I find it difficult to print on special paper. There seems to be a lot of steps to go thru--opening the back and special tray in front just to print one envelope in addition to moving the tabs at the back of the printer.
I believe this could have been simplified.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Printer works fine. It doesn't have AirPrint for apple products. You have to use IPrintIScan which works fine but not convenient.

The brother 2270 is a great product for home office use. It installs quickly and connects wirelessly with no problems. The print speed is very good for a product at its price point. A reliablely good valued product.

Not over the top but...

I purchased this printer for its ability to be wireless. But that functionality is not without its issues. I've had to reinstall the drivers countless times, call brother support to do a complete hard reset on the network card frequently enough (to get it back to factory so I can have it communicate again) and I fear that this cycle isn't over.
Hasn't been fun to be honest.
But the prints themselves are fast and fantastic and duplexing is perfect!
I would recommend this to a friend!
