Disappointed

I purchased the printer in December. I love the specs, but the printer is really loud and kept dimming my lights whenever it was on. In January the printer kept showing me the paper out error, when the paper tray was full. After several tries, I gave up. In February, I plugged it in again and it worked. Nothing was done-it just rested. At the end of February, I received the DRUM error. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am very happy with my purchase. This printer is dependable, reliable and prints 2-sided—wirelessly which is exactly what I needed! Never jams and always works well!

My second Brother

I bought my first Brother laser printer about 5 years ago. Loved how well it printed and how I only had to purchase toner about once a year. Much better for printing documents than an inkjet printer. It was also wireless but did not duplex. Bought this one because I wanted the duplex feature. My old one is still working great. Passed it down to my daughter. Love this printer. Easy to connect wireless and duplex works great. Would highly recommend.

Worst printer ever

I have returned this model of printer twice. The third one should also be returned. It quit working the same day I received it. All of these have had the same issue. They quit turning on. The machines act like they aren't getting power. Brother says they have never had this issue before, but I've had it 3 times on this machine model. Terrible!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not that thrilled about this printer. It works....did so right out of the box. But the print is only good for storage things. It rubs off easily. Wanted to use laser on some labels...as they were only for laser printers...and it sort of showed up on the labels but then gradually disappeared and rubbed off. Even print on paper is not great. Never prints in real black. Always looks light. And, yes, I do know how to change the intensity of print. I use it now to print out copies of cashed checks, stuff I only file away and such. I used laser compatible paper on some things I wanted to send out, still, not great. And it lines up oddly when feeding through the front. Envelopes often are printed crooked. I wouldn't buy this again, but will use it until the ink runs out.

Love this printer! Great quality! It will save me loads on ink! all my packing slips are black and white so why use other printers for that! easy front load for single labels,and prints copy from paper tray for my copy!
