Good Printer for the price

I bought this printer about 2 months ago. Have used it under normal home business use. Just now getting notices to change the toner cartridge. Comes with startup cartridge. Will replace with TN-450 cartridge for longer life. Printer prints well. I like the front and back printing feature (you can turn it on and off). Has lots of other printing options that work well, too. Easy to use and easy to change settings. Easy to change toner cartrige. Paper tray holds a lot of paper. Easy to print envelopes through front feed. The only thing I don't like is that it tends to curl envelopes as it prints them but it doesn't seal the glue so this is not a real big problem. It is a good printer with lots of features at a good price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good printer on a budget.

This is my third Brother printer that I've purchased and all have been exceptional. The wireless set up went so easy I couldn't believe it was working first try. Keep up the good work.

It performs better than expected. It does all my work so quickly I,m upset with myself for not buying it last year. I,ve had it only a few months and I tell all my buddies how good it is. I need some advice from you compatriots about using my 2270DW as a network wonder. Can anyone tell me what I need and how to hook it up?

It works great but it was a monster when I changed toner cartridges for the first time. I had to call customer support and they had to walk me thru setting it up. You have to push buttons in some weird sequences - too bad they didn't include those directions with the printer. I have to replace my next cartridge and I dread it. They should make it easier but I guess you get what you pay for. All in all it is a very good, dependable wireless printer. I use it for small business and home use.

Best quality for the price

I'm a university student. I've just gone through the basic toner and high yield toner and haven't even gotten close to 1000 (double-sided) pages yet. That being said, I've printed a few scanned documents with dark grey backgrounds so it makes sense, but I'm assuming the high yield toner's count of 2,600 is for regular double-spaced text pages and nothing more.
The printing quality is very sharp and crisp for text. You really couldn't ask for anything better. I chose this over the HL-5437DW for that reason, because the more expensive 5437 quality didn't come close. The pages come out fast enough for student use. I've never had an impatient feeling while waiting to print from this machine. (You could easily print under less than half a minute if you have a paper to turn in by a certain deadline...)
Minor complaints are that it didn't come with a USB cable, and when you cancel/delete a printing job, it still prints. I've found that turning the printer off mid-printing to stop the printing job doesn't really hurt the printer, but it's a big pain because I have to dismantle the printer and reach in to grab the jammed paper. I've also had a few paper jams, but they're easily fixed if you just reach in to take out the paper. It is pretty noisy, and pretty stinky, but it's a laser printer, and I can't really avoid any of this since I put it in my dorm room. But it's nowhere near obnoxious, and I think it's pretty normal for most printers out there. If you can put the printer in a well ventilated area, that might be better since printing fumes are carcinogenic.
Overall: fast and sharp quality. I love this thing.
