An Excellent Printer

We already had an HL-2270DW, so there was no doubt that when a additional printer was needed, this was the model that we would purchase. It is fast and produces top-quality results. Toner cartridges are easy to change. Unfortunately, the paper tray is flimsy and it is hard to change it to accommodate different size paper. Despite that, I still believe it is an excellent choice for a small office.
I would recommend this to a friend!

print engine not up to task

I buy Brother printers. Most printers at our company are Brother and until I bought 3 or 4 of these HL-2270DW I never questioned what I bought from Brother. Print engine does not work with DCL and as such does not work with our company business software running on old UNIX system. It works great on a Windows OS but that was not why I bought Brother printers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Buy it on sale and spend the $ U save on toner

Bought this for a home office. Small footprint, Wi-Fi connection and price point was the attraction. It replaced an HL-2240W that had a fuser go out on it. Works as described, but it really goes through the toner much faster than the HL-2240 did. TN-420 cartridges rated at 1200 pages only yield 700. Other than that, no complaints. I did a manual setup to the Wi-Fi network. It did not want to connect through the automatic setup.

We thought it was good. But, now when we turn it on all the lights flash. I have to do the hold button while turning on routine, then it's fine. We've had it for over a month now so we can't return it and I definitely won't pay more to get it fixed. It might happen again. We used it only a few times since we have another Brother ink jet printer that seems to work so far. might be our last.

Reliable, easy to use

Have been giving my printer a daily workout since I bought it, and has not missed a beat! Love the double sided feature, and the ink keeps on going.
