Too noisy

I returned this printer after one day of use because it was too noisy. The fan kept running & running after printing stopped. Even after only printing 1 page the fan would run for 15 minutes! I replaced it with a small HP P1102W and it's very quiet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Product for my Purpose

I purchased this printer to replace an inkjet; I've used inkjets for years but found the cost of ink excessive, most ink used to keep the print heads clean.
I have a low usage requirements and this printer is ideal. Inkjets have to be used almost every week to keep the print head operating. I don't believe I will have that type problem with a laser printer.
This printer gives me excellent cost per page, faster printing and high print quality. My greatest requirement is monochrome printing and this fills that need.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My own brother, Gary, bought this machine for me so that I wouldn't have to try and figure out how to copy on both sides of the paper. It was so complex on my color printer that he just sent this to me and now, no worries! It works like a charm!!!

Absolutely the best value I have ever purchased. I have been an IT Technician for more than 30 years and have never seen this quality for such a low price. Brother has out done themselves on this product. Printer works like a dream. Thank you Brother. I will be buying 2 more of this printer.

I am very pleased with this printer. The wireless set-up was easy, the print clarity is very good, it prints envelopes easily, and it prints quickly.

Does the job

Bought to print community newsletter. Works ok but cannot connect to network without upgrading OS which I do not want to do. Power switch poorly located, stick on error sheet very small and cheap. Toner too expensive. This is refurbished. Does a good print job but I always forget to turn off because the on light is poorly placed and extremely small. Very, very fast.

Do not buy this machine

Just bought this machine. Wireless setup is a joke. Tried on 3 machines, USB, LAN and ad-hoc, searched for solutions online. One review I found was by a network administrator who said that he couldn't get it to work either but created his own workaround. Tech support only available weekdays - hello, some of us have jobs and do this stuff on the weekend. VERY VERY disappointed in the product and with Brother.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second Brother printer and have been once again extremely impressed.
This printer is a great value providing not only superb quality, but also ability to print on both sides automatically.
Have had it for about a month and extraordinarily please.
My only slightly adverse comment is the relative noise that it makes when printing -- but more than offset by the price, uqlaity and convenience
