Good but not great

This is a good but not great printer. I recycle paper and use paper that has print on the other side. This causes jams that can be tricky to reset. This was disappointing since this printer is supposed to print double-sided. Otherwise the printing is fast and clear.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Failed Completely

Have had this printer for 3.5 months. OEM Toners leak everywhere. Cannot handle more than one manually fed envelope at a time. Noisey, smelly and very tiny toner capacity. Paid for high-yeild toner, maybe got a 1000 pages if lucky. It is 5 steps down from the 5250DN which I gave 3.5 stars after it died in less than three years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great printer, but then we think all the Brother printers we have used have been at least good. But starring was the help I got trying to set for toner save mode which was very fast and right to the point! Good job.

Brother HL-2270DW Laser Printer

Purchased the Brother HL-2270DW with prepackaged DN-420 and TN-420/TN-450.
It seems that the TN-420/TN-450 ink level was very low to start with, and the DN-420 holder got stuck in the printer, so removal was not possible. And the way the HL-2270DW laser printer is designed, there is not a secondary way to access the toner cartridge for removal; so the only solution now is to take the entire HL-2270DW laser printer back to where it was purchased, and get a new one with new toner cartridge.
What this means is that Brother's Quality Assurance program missed out on this particular printer model, which has proved to be defective. Since there appears to be a problem here, it is very difficult to recommend this particular product to others.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The HL-2270DW Laser was everything I expected. It was easy to set up the wireless and it performs as noted in the specs (quality and speed). This is the third Brother printer that I have owned over the last 10 years and they all have performed very reliably and economically (i.e. no 'failures'). I recommend Brother products to all of my colleagues when they ask about my experience with Brother for both quality and price.

Excellent value

I bought the hl-2270DW to replace an old laser printer that had lasted for many years but finally bit the dust. The 2270 has a lot of features that would only be found on more expensive machines. It is fast and produces excellent looking documents.
The only negative comment is that it wrinkles envelopes when printing them.'
Good price-Good machine

Great workhorse printer

Great printer.Fast and reliable. Love the two sided printing. Saves paper and produces smaller documents. Wireless connectivity means I can access it from anywhere in the house from either of our laptop computers. Only shortcoming (for me) is the printer's inability to print from an iPad, and the fact that it needs replacement toner cartridge so quickly. Hopefully it is only because it is a starter cartridge and the full replacement cartridge will last much longer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
