Shocked & Saddened

Shocked to learn that the Brother printer causes a power spike that causes our home office UPS system to take over each time I print; Saddened that sending me a replacement didn't correct the issue and Brother basically says "too bad - so sad" - live with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very good printer

Very good printer. Works very well on wifi. I was able to unpack and install it myself easily. The paper trays is also good and holds enough papers.

I use the printer as a network color printer. Works well on the network with Win7 and XP computers. Excellent drivers on this printer. I like the black print but the color is not particularly brilliant nor is it very clear. Not photo quality but I have not played with other quality settings than the default. But default color prints are passable. The printer instructions are easy to follow and not complicated. I like the toner tanks on top - very easy to access and change. I like the Brother printers.

Solid Networked Mono Laser

Excellent choice for a home office. Compact, quiet, dependable, with clear, clean print. I have it sitting next to my router so I chose to attach it to the router via CAT5 cable, since my house was pre-wired throughout with cable runs. Very quick and easy installation. Duplexing is fast and reliable. It was an outstanding choice at any price, but at the price I paid, it was a no-brainer. Anyone looking for a mono laser need look no further.

Just the Greatest Laser Printer

Had a hard time getting this one due to it being sold out or back ordered, I now can see why. This is without question the best Laser Printer for its class around. Fast, easy to use, and very clear print and graphics. Set-up was abreeze and only took 5 minutes at most. I connected it to my wireless in seconds, never even used a cable, it found my router and took off. The manual with it is not very detailed, but I went on-line and got a PDF and saved it on here. Small enough to place it most anywhere you need to. If your in need of a FAST, clear imaging, and are on a budget, you need to look at this one hard. I, for one, couldn't be more pleased with it. I have only had it for just over a month now but have had no problems with it after 300 + pages I've used. Draw back is the toner you get with it only prints a small amont of paper and needs to be replaced in a short amount of time. Replacement toner and drum is a bit pricey but having something like this with no paper jaming or malfunctions (so far) makes it a little easier for you deal with. My recommendation for this class of printer is at the top of my list right now.

Very pleased with printing and features

Have had this printer only a few days, but am very pleased with the print quality, the two-sided printing, and the wireless. The printer was very easy to set up. I use a USB cable (not included) for my desktop, but wanted to use wireless for my laptop. The directions were a bit confusing at first since it mentioned USB and Ethernet cables and combined the directions for both on wireless setup. However, once I began wireless setup (temporarily using the USB cable), it became clear what to do next. The wireless setup was easy and works just fine.

Excellent printer for the money

I purchased this printer because I was looking for a low cost, laser, black-and-white printer. I wanted it to be light wieight so that I could carry it out in the field. I also wanted a printer that was fairly fast in producing copies. The HL-2270DW is exactly that. I was so satisfield that I bough a second one for another job that I do.
