I really like this printer. It was easy to set up wireless printing and it has worked perfectly. I have used duplex printing quite a bit and it has never failed to work perfectly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good home printer for Linux users

This is a nice printer with full duplex at a very attractive price point. There are Linux drivers available from Brother in _both_ RPM and DEB package formats.
I didn't major problems installing the driver with x86_64 openSUSE 11.3/KDE 4.6 and things work just as hoped.
Do install the LPR driver BEFORE installing CUPS driver, as the LPR driver is a dependency for the CUPS wrapper.

HP Replacement

I purchased this laser printer to replace an HP printer that I had only used for one year. After problems with several HP printers I decided to try the Brother. It has as many features as a much more expensive HP unit and is more compact. I am happy with it's operation and will certainly consider another Brother unit in the future.

Great Printer

I wanted a black only reliable printer and found this model....perfect. Sharp clear printing. Printing cost are reasonable. Had trouble setting up as my computer flash drive was acting up but the great tech support lady ,on Saturday by phone, walked me through it. Paper capacity is more than ample, no feed hang ups, lots of adjustments. Fractionally large but then it feels sturdy, good trade off. My second Brother and will not be the last.

Bought this printer because it was wireless. It is every bit as good as my 10 year old EPSON laser but costs 75% less. Will be using this a lot because it is more convenient and cheaper to keep up than my HP inkjet.
