I use it for home personal use; therefore, it does not get a whole lot of use. But I like the set-up of the printer and it has performed flawlessly so far. Brother customer service helped me connect it, which I appreciated greatly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is my second 2270DW

I bought this second 2270DW because it was a great deal and my first was/is so reliable! I retired my first 2270DW to act as backup. This is a very reliable model with good support (in person!).

I've only had the printer about two weeks and so far everything is great. I've only used it a few times. The duplexer is amazing. The print is so crisp and clear. I am a little disappointed that a user cannot enable both USB and wireless connections--must pick one or the other. I haven't attempted to configure the printer to operate wireless--that will be another test.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Most Prints For the Buck

Small and proficient. This is my first laser printer I've purchased for home use and it's proven its place on my desk. Fast and effective, the duplex feature is very nice to have and cuts on cost.
The one thing that makes me gives this a four vice a five is the fact that the papers come out curled from the high temperature laser sequencing and process.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really like the printer

I will recommend this printer to everyone I know and to those that are reading this review. It was easy to setup and does everything to specification. In fact, I decided to go with it because I no longer need to buy two print cartridges ever.
If you want to print in color, this is not for you because it is black&white only.
I would recommend this to a friend!

.....but I am the biggest idiot ever! First of all the printer is great. I bought it to print pages for a family tree book I created, and it worked fast and flawlessly printing both sides of the heavy duty paper I used. It also handled printing on the even thicker outside covers. The only criticism I have is the location of the power switch in the extreme rear on the right side. Why not make it easier to reach and put it more to the front?
I am an idiot because after printing the pages of my book and going on to other things, I realized in my rush for a bargain that I was now without a scanner and copier. I should've bought a mono all in one laser printer! So I hooked up my old all in one and have two printers hooked up to my home computer. I didn't feel confident enough to try the wireless feature, but that's just me and my senior moments. If I hit the Lotto, I will buy a Brother all in one laser printer and save some space here in my home office.

A replacement for an earlier Brother monochrome lazer. This one is quieter, prints double sided, and in all respects, meets all my expectations.
And kudos to your phone tech support for solving an early problem.

Great B&W Laser Printer

This printer sets up flawlessly, warms up quickly, prints without delay, and provides excellent quality for text documents.
Color Graphics reproduction is of course in b&w and is par for the course for laser printers with some very fine lines depending on resolution and mode selected (i.e. text or graphics mode). Certainly the b&W graphic quality is suitable for header graphics for icons and basic imagery. B&W photos can even be inserted in brochures and pamphlets with very usable but not stellar results. This is not a color photo copier so that's expected. Still I have made some very pleasing black and white photo reproductions just for fun and while I wouldn't hang them on the wall, they do show nice tone graduation, with some line patterning.
This laser printer really shines though at it's chosen task, text documents. The print is razor sharp, deeply black, and totally suitable for business or personal publishing of newsletters, personal letters, cards, pamplets or just records/forms.
The best thing about laser printers is that you can leave them for months and then print 100 pages. Nothing is going to dry out.
This printer is a great value for the price. I haven't tried it with the wireless settings, but I expect it would work fine, perhaps a hair slower to respond, but if it's wireless that's totally acceptable. I saw a utube of a guy using it with wireless and it worked great.
