This printer is performing as advertized and has a host of features.
The one feature I haven't figured out yet is how to configure it to print in duplex and toner save modes by default.

Solid Printer

The 2270 has been a solid, wireless printer. It produces good copies, the wireless feature has worked well and it is relatively fast in producing copies. The only problem is that it periodically stops int he middle of a print job, then restarts printing from the start. While this does not happen often, it is the reason for (only) four stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Very Good Printer

This is my third Brother laser printer, which I've now been using for about two months. It replaces a Brother HL-2040, which is still working, but needs to have the drum replaced, and that would cost almost as much as a new printer. So I bought this one, and have been quite happy with it.
I particularly like the two-sided print option - a real time saver. One caveat though - this feature only works if you're printing in a portrait format. You can use it for landscape printing, but the back side of your page will be upside down.
I've found the print quality, especially on halftones, to be somewhat better than the HL-2040, and the print speed is maybe just a bit faster.
All in all, I'm a very satisfied customer. If I live long enough to need another laser printer (not too likely - I'm 81), it would almost surely be a Brother. I would recommend this model to anyone looking for a high-quality low-cost b&w printer.

Fine purchase

I've currently printed over 8000 pages. Very few paper jams. I particularly like the two side printing and wireless connection. The easy ability to switch between single and double side prints is great. My only complaint is the toner cartridge only prints about 2500 pagers and I wish they would be good for 5000 pages each. The printer has good speed being about twice as fast as my old HP. It prints text very nicely but isn't as good as my old HP laserjet 1200 with graphics.

Best Printer I ever had

I have 4 online college courses that require alot of research and downloading information from the internet. This printer has made it easy and cost effective for me. I highly recommend this printer.
