A very solid printer

I've had no major problems with this printer. It's a very solid performer and handles normal printing with speed and clarity. The double-sided printing feature worked like a charm as well.
My only negative was that I haven't been able to set up the printer on the network. I'm in a Mac-only environment. It may be more an issue of my ignorance than the printer's deficiency, but I wish their instructions for Mac-based contexts were clearer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm a personal user, and we homeschool our two girls. What a great printer! Small size, toner is reasonable, pretty easy to set up, duplex printing, and wireless to access. All pc's and laptops in the house can access a single printer without issues. Thanks Brother!

Good Laser Printer

I love all the features this laser has. Especially the duplex printing. I do a newsletter and it prints both sides quickly and very nicely. There is one thing that I and a lot of other owners do not like,
and that is the toner runs out long before you print out 2600 pages. Mine on the average prints about 1400 pages which is considerbly lower than advertised. I purchased this printer hoping that it would save money on ink because I print out a nonprofit newsletter. A little disappointed.

The do-all printer you'll love!

I love this printer, and it's great price point as well.
Running Windows 7, it was a breeze to set up. Having the printer attached to my network, means I can print form my laptop and my tablet as well.
Duplex printing works great, although for printing envelopes, I do have to manually feed them through the front, but I can live with that. Printed 50 envelopes for X-mas mailings and it was a breeze.
I do use the toner saver setting for most printing jobs. Images come out rather light using that setting though, so I switch it when there are images in what I'm printing.
Overall, very pleased with this printer and the quality of the machine and it's printing abilities.

This printer serves as the muscle man behind my doctoral studies. I print a box of paper ever 4 months and this guy does it every time in quick time. I find the cost of toner and use of this printer to be most cost-efficient. My first one lasted 5 years with no complaints. As I understand it now, a replacement of the drum is easy to do and could have made the printer last longer. I love the one I have and expect it to serve a long time.

Simply outstanding

I've owned an earlier model of this printer and moved it to another computer. This one, as with the earlier model, does what it is supposed to do perfectly. Output is fast, connectivity is solid and the print quality is excellent.
Brother drivers are excellent software. I highly recommend this printer!

My only issue with this printer is the 'Go' button is on top of the machine. I believe this machine is meant for the home/home office. Having the Go button turn on/off the network while held down is not a good idea. I have to keep the printer turned off so my cats won't lie on it and turn off the wifi. Or if I have to set something down and the printer is more convenient at the time it'll press the go button and turn off the wifi. Other than that small issue this printer really does work great. I've never had a jam in the duplex.
