so far solid printer

I say 'so far' because I have only had it a few months and I have had two previous Brother HL compact Laser printers and both failed in less than two years and it would cost more to fix them than to replace them. This is pretty sad! Neither of the other printers seemed to have anything wrong with them but they simply would not 'come on'.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It stops working by wireless every couple of days. Support told me it is because of Word 10, because it is sending the print job to manual insert of paper. I upgraded to Windows 13 (Office 2013). It does the same thing. No problem with another printer I am using.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is an excellent printer. Setup was a snap, the price was right and performance is excellent.
I have nothing but good things to say about this printer and glad I listened to the advice of a co-worker when looking for a new home printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really like the automatic duplex feature and the flexibility to change the type of duplex and also to go non-duplex. I really like the print speed. And I especially like the wireless connection, since things can be printed from my wife's laptop located in a different part of the house.
Keep up the good work.

I bought the HL-2270DW for my kids colleges' projects and it handles all their paper projects except of course the color which I bought the MFC-J435W for color printing and scanning. This is my sixth Brother product I own. I have a 2170DW that I bought a few years ago and the network card went but I still use it by USB. I had bought two HL 2040 but it was too expensive to replace the fusers on them. The cost is better to just buy a new unit. I had also bought a portable scanner DS 600 but do not care for the scan software. It is differcult to use.
I am an A+ certified tech and these are my opinion. Their tech support is helpful and they do go the extra step to send you documents when need be. I would recommend this printer.
