Pretty to look at and quiet operation

I chose this product based mostly on its appearance. It is located right next to a stainless samsung fridge and I wanted the look to match. Unfortunately, while it is a sleek design, the washer doesn't do a great job of washing dishes. After the first dozen loads I find that dishes need to me mostly prewashed or they won't come out clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

DISAPPOINTING BUY

I recently remodeled my kitchen and chose Samsung appliances. I have had problems with every single appliance. This dishwasher runs well and is quiet, but the soap dispenser does not open during the cycle. I have to stop the cycle and open the dispenser manually. This is a brand new dishwasher mind you. I will be leaving reviews on the other appliances in our kitchen. Very disappointing.

Worst dishwasher experience ever - From a once satisified Samsung owner

First, the good. (1) The dishwasher looks good. (2) The people I have spoken with at Samsung are some of the friendliest I have dealt with.
Now the bad:
Dishwasher has never cleaned dishes properly from the day we purchased it - after eight months and multiple attempts to repair it. Parts were found that"would have gone bad in the next six months if they had not been replaced ." Unless rinsed completely clean, they leave grime that spins from the lower rack to the top rack and leaves the upper rack dishes full of grime or dirt. I have now been told "it is a dish sanitizer, not a dish washer" though I do not believe this to be true that is not what was advertised
Bottom Line: I want to believe that we got a lemon and am happy to revise this review. But at this point, the only thing I can say is this is a terrible quality product that is mis-advertised. Do not buy Samsung Dishwashers.
Pros: dish sanitizer
Cons: Poor quality, does not was dishes, leaves grime on dishes, sprays grime from bottom rack to top rack

Awful product

I've had this dishwasher for 1 month and have yet to get a clean and DRY load of dishes. Yes I use a rinse aid. and sanatize settings
I don't like the racks, unable to fit my dishes. We use alot of plastics and they don't fit well and are always dirty and wet. The only way to get clean dishes are to wash them first.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY ONE!!
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor wash and dry

Hi tjm4,

I'm sorry to hear you aren't happy with your dishwasher. In addition to the tips you say you've tried, it's also recommended to have your hot water heater set to between 120°F ~ 140°F, and be sure to leave the dishwasher door closed until the cycle is complete. If the "not drying" issue is specific to plastics, this isn't unusual because plastics don't retain the heat necessary to evaporate the water.

Regarding the cleaning performance, please refer to the troubleshooting tips in the manual or on this website, such as cleaning the spray nozzles.

Samsung dishwashers -run away

The unit has required multiple servicing. It does a poor job of cleaning dishes/glasses/etc. funny how Samsung didn't call to try to extend the warrantee on this one. By far the worst appliance I have ever purchased.

I have never had a product that is worse. It failed twice under warranty so I purchased an extended warranry. 4 months into the extended plan and it has failed again. I will not go into problems getting service. I would NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance. Stick with their TVs.

Dishwasher started having issues 11 months after purchase

11 months after the dishwasher was purchased it would stop during the wash cycle and an error message of SE would be displayed. A technician came out and diagnosed the issue. Then the technician came back to replace the part. Within 30 days same issue. Two visits to get it fixed. Now 5 months later we have the same issue and Samsung is refusing due to warranty to fix the problem unless we pay for at least labor. (I had to escalate to get them to pay for parts.) In addition we were told during the November timeframe this is a known issue at Samsung. So basically we were sold a dishwasher with known issues and 18 months later are having to pay money to get it fixed for the third time. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance.
