Great features built-in this dishwasher. Love the front facing LED which lets you know what cycle its on. Lots of pre-programmed functions are nice additions too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst dishwasher ever
on September 14, 2016
Posted by: Saint19
From the first week this dishwasher was installed, it hasn't worked. After 2 or 3 washes, it started giving an OE code on the display, and the cycle would stop. We would turn it off, then back on, and it would complete. Over time, it has gotten worse and worse. Now it will only work on about 1 in 20 tries. I've officially had it with this dishwasher. We are in the process of selling the house, and I'm not going to allow this dishwasher to go with it. I couldn't do that to someone else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well, but the racks are a little awkard.

I bought my dishwasher as an open item. The price was great for the stainless steel appliance. I've been using the machine about a month. It clean the dishes very well. I find it to be quiet as well. My only trouble is loading the racks. I find them awkward. I had so much trouble initially, that I downloaded the manual and actually checked the loading instructions.
For example, the bottom rack is designed to hold a huge number of dinner plates, salad plates and saucers, each in their own section. However, the salad plate section just won't fit an overflow of dinner plates. The design is too rigid. I'm having some trouble with bowls as well.
In short, good machine so far, but you need to be inventive with the loading.
Pros: quiet, good cleaning
Cons: racks are awkard

Hey! I can hear you now!

When we bought this dishwasher, we did so because our old dishwasher was dreadfully loud. So loud in fact, that we had to run it when we were out of the house, or in another part of the house. With this DW80F800UWS dishwasher, we can sit in the kitchen and carry on a conversation comfortably, ready, study, or even watch TV in a nearby room without any trouble.
My only grief (if that is what you want to call it) is that the silverware holder-whatchamajiggers are not affixed to the bottom rack and when our kids relent and finally put their dishes into the dishwasher, they act like they are shooting darts at a honky tonk and do so from 8 feet away so as to not get food on their precious teenage hands. This in turn, knocks the silverware holder-whatchamajigger out of the area in which it was designed to live.
Really. That is my only gripe about the unit. Small potatoes and it seems that I could remedy this by either having the kids load the dishwasher more responsibly, or have them hand wash their stuff at which point they will then appreciate the dishwasher and its capabilities.
In any event, Samsung kicks butt, and their appliances are top notch.
Pros: quiet, does its job, stainless tub, dishes come out clean
Cons: will not cook for me

Since we are doing a complete remodel of our kitchen we have not used this dishwasher but twice since it was installed. We are impressed with the quietness of this machine! We note that it is way too easy to pull the bottom drawer out when loading it...making it a bit tougher to re-seat the wheels on their track...but it is not terrible.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color

it has just minor flaws

In rebuilding my kitchen after a tidal surge here, I purchased a kitchen of Samsung products of which almost were flawless. This dishwasher was installed as replacement for my previous purchase. It is very quiet and does a beautiful job in cleaning just about all the items placed in it.
The only question i see is that the construction for the upper arm is the same as on the dishwasher originally purchased and I fear that the plastic holding it in place will snap as the previous one did.
Other than that , I find this a very good item and an excellent value for the price
Pros: Bright display

It is definitely worth investing in. When I was researching this particular model I couldn't find any information as to how loud it was which is important to a lot of people so I'd like to let everyone know that this dishwasher is extremely quiet and does an excellent job of cleaning the dishes, even without using what I call it's super cycle which uses an additional turbo cleaning sprayer for really dirty dishes. This is a side mounting model so there's no issue with installing it under granite countertops. There is 1 screw that mounts on the left side and 1 for the right side. When installing, make sure that you don't torque down the screws too tight, otherwise your dishwasher will leak a little bit. I learned that the hard way with mine & I even paid a professional to do it for me. The ONLY complaint that I have is in it's drying cycle. It just doesn't dry enough. The technician told me that newer dishwashers are energy efficient, therefore they use extremely short drying cycles. I honestly thought it didn't dry them at all until I literally saw the drying light come on. If you leave the top of the dishwasher open a little after the cycle is complete it seems to help them dry a little better. Other than that, I am extremely satisfied with this dishwasher.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, quiet, energy efficient, water efficient
Cons: drying cycle is too short

Love that I can now watch TV and have the dishwasher running at the same time. The only issue I have is that the inside is always wet. Haven't figured out how to fix that.
Pros: Bright display
