What's great about it: Powerful, super quiet, has a night light, can be directed in two directions at once.
What's not so great: warm mist not really that warm.
This humidifier is great. I bought it for my 4 month old son and it works wonders. It is super quiet. I like the look of it and the fact that it has a night light feature on it. It is very powerful. I left it on the highest setting for the night and when I got up in the morning the floor and bed was damp so I would recommend using it at a lower setting. I also like the fact that the mist can be directed in two different directions at the same time. My only concern is that the warm mist doesn't really seem to really be all that warm but it's not a big deal. I would absolutely recommend this humidifier to friends and family.

What's great about it: Large tank; auto turn-off feature when tank is out.
What's not so great: Shape of tank makes it a little hard to put down w/o tipping.
It does exactly what I was expecting. Love the auto-turn-off feature. Tank will run for about 2 days on the warm mist setting. My only disappointment is that it was $160 and I have since seen similar units for about $109.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Very quiet, portable, no filters to change.
What's not so great: Creates a foggy room after a while.
If you're like me, then every product you've ever bought that claims to be "whisper quiet" or something similar, ends up being abnoxiously loud and unsettling. Well, when I plugged this thing in, I was absolutely astonished. Lowest or highest setting, the unit makes virtually no noise at all! Just a low pitched hum that is overtaken by the filter on my fish tank.
The unit works well. Water lasted me 3 to 3-1/2 days before refilling (not exactly 120 hours), though I was varying the humidity setting often. Unfortunately, I am returning the unit because if turned up about halfway or beyond, it takes about 30 minutes or so for there to be a nice fog throughout the first floor of my house. I want to create humidity in the air... not a 90's music video.
The other thing that bugs me is that other units will tell you that they use UV to kill bacteria. This one says it uses "Silver Clean Technology" to prevent bacteria buildup. The box, the unit and the manual all say "Silver Clean" but not once does it mention what exactly "Silver Clean" actually is.
Lastly, there doesn't seem to be any real difference in the 'cool mist' and the 'warm mist' settings. At least not unless you place your hand directly on top of the vent, in which case it still doesn't really feel that warm...
For $150, I can probably find a unit at Sears or elsewhere that performs as well or better, and without the effect of a fog machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: mulitple settings, auto shut off
What's not so great: having to flip over the tank once its full.
I really like the mulitple settings and how quiet it runs. The automatic shutoff is a wonderful idea.
The only draw back is how the way it refills.
After you fill it tank, you have to turn it over to to put it back on. Its kinda heavy if you fill it full with water.

What's not so great: Strange fan noise starts a few minutes after the unit is turned on.
The unit worked well outside of the a strange noise that would start a few minutes after turning it on. Not sure what the issue was. It was loud enough that I returned the unit for a different model. The smaller models by germ gardian are very quite.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: VERY QUIET. Easy to use and setup. Large water tank.
What's not so great: Analog dial for humidity control. Brightness of LED lights.
I am a chronic allergy/sinus sufferer and was badly in need of a good humidifier for the winter months in Southeast MI. I live in a house that has forced air heating and the air can get VERY dry and cause my sinusitis to flare up causing poor sleep and air quality in my house. I use this product in a medium-sized bedroom (12x18). After doing some homework I landed on Germ Guardian product to help with my problems.
First i'll spell out the pros of this product:
-VERY quiet. Even it's highest setting it is barely a whisper in any room you're in. The ONLY noise you will hear with this device is an infrequent gurgle from a water bubble rising to the surface in the tank. Again, VERY QUIET.
-Large 2.4 gallon tank should hold you over for 3-4 days depending on level of humidification needed. The tank itself is not that hard to fill either, unlike some of the clumsier tanks i've dealt with.
-Small footprint. This device will sit well on any small cabinet, table or shelf.
-Ultrasonic humidification emits a steady stream of humidified vapors but they do not leave behind any white residue or particulate like some wick and/or filtered humidifiers. It works especially well with our osmosis purified water.
-Control stream of mist easily. This device can emit a fairly concentrated stream of mist. Luckily you have a full 360 rotation and can also split the strim of the emitting aperature. Handy if you have to place the device near other electronics or moisture-sensitive items.

This product is not without a few drawbacks, but they are minimal:
-The adjustment indicator is analog - meaning there is no digital indicator to set your humidity level at. It may take some trial and error to get it just right for you.
-Cold and Warm mist feature does not work all that well. In order for you to get the warm mist to be consistent you must run the device for a long period of time. After 2-3 hours of operation the mist will start to feel noticably warmer on your skin. The cold mist is cold...

I have read some other reviews on the product before purchasing and most read similarly. One claim I have noticed is that this product claims to humidify a 700sqft room but does not actually have the capacity to do so. I do not use mine in such a large room so it is not an issue but be aware.
All in all I am extremely pleased with this product. I would recommend for anyone with similar needs.
