I had read many reviews and comments about this stylus and my HP Spectre13-w023DX. Some said it would not work, others said it would and others said a firmware upgrade was needed to make it work. I can usually get computers and peripherals to work even when others cannot, so when HP had a free return promoton I decided to try it.
I could not make it work. Absolutely nothing happened when I first tried it so I re-downloaded the HP Support Assistant and ran it. It said my firmware was up to date.
Some of the coments I read before ordering it said a driver update was needed to make it work. Windows 10 did not even see the device so there was no simple way to install a driver. The HP Support Assistant told me all of my drivers were up to date. Just in case, I searched the HP website for drivers, and did not find any.
One of the reasons I bought the Spectre was the possibility of using a stylus. I am disaapointed in HP. There is no excuse for the lack of information on stylus support for the computer and there is no excuse for advertising that a computer can use a stylus when it appears that there are none available that will work with it. I have owned a half dozen or more HP computers but this is likely my last.
I returned the stylus.

Due to the limitations placed on reviews, I cannot say anything about sales support. I cannot say anything about tech support. I cannot say anything about any competing products. IF YOU OWN A SPECTRE X360 (2017 KABY LAKE) DO NOT BUY THIS PEN. IT WILL NOT WORK. PERIOD.
I had great hopes for this unit, but it is not fully compatible with the HP Pavillion 360. You have to press very hard to have it not skip, and there is a significant time delay so the OneNote document is often a letter or so behind making it rather confusing to know where you are.

This pen, though functional, isnt very good. its heavy and unweildy. the pressure sensitivity is shoddy and pen response is not working. If youre considering buying this, ask yourself if you really need an active pen badly enough to spend this much on one that doesnt work very well and isnt wieldy like other pens.
