Space Saving But Space Missed

I just love seeing my new refrigerator every time I walk in to the kitchen! I chose a counter depth model this time, as my kitchen is galley style, and previous refrigerators always stuck out too far in to the corridor. That said, things inside are a little tight. I wish the produce drawers were larger and deeper. They won't accommodate a large cabbage or an untrimmed stalk of celery. The middle produce drawer is nice but I would rather the space was added to the two other drawers. The lower full-width drawer for deli items only pulls out half way so you will have to sweep your hand to the back to find things, and sometimes you find something you forgot was in there. A brochure I looked at shows one shelf having a flip-up feature to make room for tall items, but I did not receive such a shelf. All my shelves are slide-out, a feature I find to be pointless with such a shallow fridge, but also a nuisance, as sometimes when you grab something from an upper shelf, it catches on the high front lip and you pull the shelf out with the item. Because the long drawer on the bottom sticks out as much as it does, the bottom door shelves are smaller than the other door shelves, making them harder to access and less useful. The door bins are not infinitely adjustable and the 1/2" in-turning lip at the top of each bin robs space. I would rather have another open bin rather than a dairy bin with hinged cover. Also, this fridge is only available in stainless steel. I would have been happy with a color, especially if it lowered the price.
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, easy to use, Quality

Stylish Appearance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have only had side by sides previously. I like the new configuration. The doors open and close so smoothly. Items seem to be more readily in view. We find the water in the door feature too be much overrated, little used and usually, the first thing to breakdown, so this model fits our needs perfectly.
Pros: Style/Design, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time with a bottom freezer. Lots more room than top freezer models or side by side models. Very quiet. Lots of light in all compartments.

Good refrigerator with some awkward features
on August 19, 2018

This is a good refrigerator, so far, that cools reliably and is fairly convenient in terms of storage space. There are a few awkward features: the refrigerator drawers need to be a bit taller, the full-width crisper drawer can't be opened without opening both exterior doors, the drawers can't be pulled all the way out to access items at the back, the is a lip on the storage bins in the door that makes it difficult to use the full depth of the bins. I have occasionally had a problem with small quantities of milk or juice freezing if they are placed too close to the cold-air inlet in the refrigerator.
Pros: Performance, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

LFC21776ST Refrigerator

Beautiful Refrigerator was purchased about 1.5years ago. This was the ONLY full size refrigerator that would fit into my kitchen. Nice to have shallow depth that didn't interfere with the cabinetry in my kitchen. It has interesting alarms that tell you that you are leaving the door open too long. It doesn't have a egg holder. I use the large drawer for cheeses and lunch-meats so sometimes would like to open only 1 door, but must open both to open this drawer inside. Packs fairly well with even large jars of condiments (pickles, ketchup, sourkraut, etc. in the doors. 'American cheese boxes' fit in the lift door in the door. Rearranged shelves to fit 4 Gallons of milk on an easy to reach shelf . This left a bit awkward short shelf above, but it works fine for butter tubs, small cans of tomato juice, left-overs.
You can't use magnets on the stainless steel front--they work ok on the painted steel sides.

Have had 4 months and several service calls - ice maker wont! and freezer frosts up like a 20 year old fridge We are under Warranty, and it looks like we will be changing out - bought this because LG is a great brand (of tv) but not so much for fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased in April and have loved it since. It is a quality refrigerator. It's so quiet you wonder if it's running. It is so easy to access anything as it is a cabinet depth appliance. I can honestly say it's #1 of all the appliances we've ever purchased.

A beautiful and well designed appliance.

The look of the refrigerator is beautiful. Number and versatile arrangement of storage bins and shelves is well thought-out. Controls are easy to operate; although I'd prefer to enter a specific temperature rather than cycle through the entire range. I was pleasantly surprised by the alarm that alerts you when a door is ajar - very useful. I find the ice maker noisy, but that is probably because I never had one before. Because of its energy efficiency, my electric company sent me a $100 rebate! All in all, my first month with this refrigerator has been quite a positive one.
