Failed compressor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased 4 large kitchen appliances in the fall of 2017. The refrigerator stopped working in 2021 and it turned out it needed a new compressor. I couldn’t get a repairman out until the next day, so all the meat needed to be thrown away and all the food needed to be transferred to another fridge. What a pain. A 4 year old fridge shouldn’t need a new compressor.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing factory service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On my 9+ year old unit - Called and had LG come to service when it quit cooling sufficiently - Fantastic tech (William) came and identified my problem immediately, hooked me up with a new compressor and I only had to pay for a service charge. I'm so satisfied I tell all my friends about the experience and then went out and bought a new LG microwave. You guys ROCK

Horrible Linear Compressor

The linear compressor has been deemed faulty and LG has had law suits regarding this part.

Linear compressor will break down

My LG refrigerator was purchased in 2019 & broke down 3 years later (stopped cooking). LG faced a class action lawsuit over the linear compressor… unfortunately my model was not part of this.
