My LG refrigerator was purchased in 2019 & broke down 3 years later (stopped cooking). LG faced a class action lawsuit over the linear compressor… unfortunately my model was not part of this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Black Stainless Steel appliances

We bought all LG Black Stainless steel appliances 4 years ago. We used the correct "shimmy" rag and only used water on all the appliances. Every piece, the black stainless steel is peeling off. I have no complaints about the appliances themselves, they are all working great. They just look like crap. I wish there was a way to fix them. Appliances are good, just don't buy black stainless steel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this refrigerator for over 4 years and never had a a problem until 2 weeks ago. The compressor went out but LG covered the cost of the repair. Looks great and has plenty of room for a family of 4!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really love it! Love the water dispenser/ice maker on the door and nice to have a second ice maker in the feeezer for hot summer days. Perfect counter depth and the stainless finish does not show fingerprints!
Pros: ease of use, Quality, Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance
I never wanted a side-by-side. I loved my LG bottom freezer (3 door) fridge but needed a replacement fast and got this side-by-side. It has a lot more room than I had pictured in the freezer and the layout is very comprehensive. Not thrilled with the amount of ice it produces. If we had more than two in our family it would never keep up with our usage. The LG website is buggy and not helpful when it comes to troubleshooting. I give it 4.5 stars (but that's not possible).
