Looked great and was nearly silent for the 12 years it operated. Replaced it with the newer version with the two door freezer.

We really liked the Fridge. It had all the right features. We always have a thermometer in the fridge and freezer. It worked great for 4 years. Then the temperature started changing. We were used to the temp going up when you opened it but it was varying from 25 to 45 degrees. And this was after it had been closed for at least an hour. The freezer had a error code "FF" which went away. We have been trying tp get a service tech out to fix it. But they have not wanted to show proof of COVID Vax.

Important changes in French Door refrigerator

The reconfiguration of the refrigerator doors and interior drawers offer much more useful space for storage. Also, the new shape of the freezer compartment and drawer is much more convenient. Everything is more visable as well.

Excellent upgrade from my Norcold 8cf RV refrigerator. Wife really likes the French door with large freezer drawer! Linear compressor works well off my Victron inverter and 300AH Lithium battery bank.

Five years - still a great decision

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator/freezer replaced a unit from Sears. The design and layout of the LG doors, shelves and drawers do something that few other brands do - they make sense.
We find it much easier to find things, store things and replenish things because the layout is simple to see and access.
The only issue we've had has been the ice maker. It quit working and would not re-start even after trying all of the LG troubleshooting suggestions. An email to the LG President's link produced immediate results. We got a phone call within hours from a Rep (bright, verbal and positive BTW) and within two days a new ice maker. It was easy to install and now works properly again.

Our fridge was only 5 years and 2 months old when the compressor died, causing a circuit board to to fry. Too expensive to repair. Our next fridge is made in America.
